| Abstract |
An improved device for holding pirn in the shuttle with perfect alignment of the pirn tip with respect to shuttle eye in a non-automatic 1ooms comprising a tongue free to oscillate about X-X axis around the non-metallic peg and a jaw having spring action and gropves in the inner face to grip the pirn head having rings equally spaced similar to said grooves, the said pirn boding further provided with a blind hole in which tongue is inserted while inserting the pirn in the shuttle. Device as claimed in claim 1 wherein the said peg is made of wood/Nylon, Device as; claimed in claim 1 wherein the said jaw is held by jaw pin, jaw cov|er and, a jaw cover pin. Device as claimed in claim 1 wherein the shuttle is made of natural/artificial wood, Nylon either a lone or in combination in a predetermined ratio. Device as claimed in claim 1 wherein the pirn & shuttle has predetermined increased length to reduce the number of stoppages due to shuttle changes and thereby increase product iv i ty. |
