| Abstract | Improvement in or relating to v^lve trays in distillation column comprising two weir plates, oris weir plate on inlet side and the second weir plats on the outlet side characterised in that the height of the weir plate on inlet side is 5 to 25% more than weir plate on outlet side; there are provided two or more projections from inside for tfesting the same on the deck of the troy, arrangement being tfuch that due to difference in height of weir pletes there i* created a positive gradient in the direction of the liquid flow over the tray to accomplish thorough and uniform coverage of the tray area and due to two or more projections from inside the valve plats enables thu valve to close the deck hole uniformly. |
