| Abstract | A process for the Manufacture of single component and multicomponent structural aggregate pigment products from particulate matter treated with complex functional microgels, comprising the steps of: (a) preparing in-situ, aubcolloidal reactive nydrosol by blsnding aqueous solutions, one of which contains at least one ccapound selected flow the group consisting of alkali-eatel silicates and quaternery ammonium siiicates, and the other of which contains at least one compound selected from tha group consisting of alkali-metal aiuminstes and alkali-metal zincatae, each in an aqusous diaperaion of quantitatively predominant particulate matter* (b) blending an aqueous solution containing at least one galas t ting agent aelacted froa the group consisting of bivalent end ami multivalent inorganic salts and organic catlonically-active chemieel compounds with at least two reactive groups in each molsculs with the resultant system from atep(a) to cross link the in-situ formed aubcolloidal reactive hydroael md synthesize said complex functional microgels, wherein the particulate wetter flocculates inetanteneouely, indiscriminately and completely to fors s etructursl aggregate pigment product! snd Co) recovering said etructurel aggregota pigment product from step |
