| Abstract | This invention relates to a plant to carry out the semi-continuous type fermentation process of molasses and non-molasses materials. Molasses is a by-product in sugar processing industry. In most of the cases molasses is used for producing ethyl alcohol by fermenting the sugar contents in the maolasses. To accomplish this fermentation the molasses is subjected to bio-chemical reaction in tanks or vessels known as fermentors using micto-organisms such as yeast as the fermenting medium.The quantity ofmolasses handled is pretty large hence it is necessary to provide multiple units ko fermentors. |
