Title of Invention |
A PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING POROUS/MICROPOROUS RUBBER-PLASTIC PIPES FOR UNDERGROUND IRRIGATION OF AGRICULTURAL PLANTS, CROPS AND LANDS. |
Abstract |
This invention relates to e process for manufacturing porous/ microporous rubber-plastic pipes for underground irrigation comprising the steps of* a) grinding/pulverizing vulcanized waste rubber b) admixing said pulverized mass of step (a) with - iij mass made by a combination of thermoplastic resins having low to high melting point and/or mixing said mass i with known plasticizers; and (ii) adding to said'admixture of step /~b(iT7 tbermo setting elastomers and/or thermoplastic elastomers; c) extruding the mass* of step f~\t (ii)_7 into pipes of desired dimensions end curing the extrudents by known continuous/static vulcanization process; allowing the product to cool down to ambient temperature to form poroue/microporous pipes; dj burying the cut lengths of porous/microporeus pipe or etep(c) into soil desired to be irrigated to a depth varying form 15 cms. to one mate; or more, and connecting said buried pipes^ to plumbing piping circuit connected to overhead tank for underground irrigation such that the moisture absorbed from the buried sweating pipes irrigates the plant roots. |
