AN IMPROVED POWDER COATING BOOTH.

Abstract

An improved powder coating booth (1) comprises a powder coating chamber (2) connected at its bottom to a powder recovery chamberO) through a duct (4), the said powder coating chamber (2) being provided with a raised bottom (5) having a Bloping surface towards its middle portion, an opening (6) provided in the aaid middle portion connecting thereto one end of the Baid duct, a constriction (7) being provided in the aaid duct (4) below the aaid opening and followed by a bend (8), the aaid duct being made diverging after the said bend, the bottom wall of the aaid duct being extended into a sloping floor (21) in the bottom of the powder recovery chembBr (.3); blower unit mounted at the top of the eaid powder recovery chamber, suction Bnd of the aaid blower unit (13) being connected to a central perforated pipe (1B) of a rotating filter cassette drum (14) mounted at the upper portion of the said powder recovery chamber (3), an individual prima mover (15 &. 16) being provided for respectively rotating the aaid blower unit (13) and the said filter cassette drum(l4), a filter cloth (19) being wrapped over the aaid filter cassette drum, a conveyour (22) being provided at the top of the aaid powder coating chamber (2) for euapending therefrom thB article (23) to be coated with powder, the upper portion of the powder coating chamber (2) being provided with window like openings (24) for the air to ruah in during the'powder coating process, an outlet being provided at the end of the said sloping floor for collecting over-sprayed powder (26)
