| Abstract | The invention relates to a preserved composition, viz. cosmetic composition which is suitable for topical application to mafflotten hair or skin/scalp his composition is capable of inducing, maintaining or promoting hair growth, especially terminal hair growth on the human scalp. The composition comprises on effective amount of from 1% to 99$ by weight of an ester of citWC ; acid in the presence of from 1% to 9$ fcy weight of cosmetically acceptable vehicle for the citric acid and in tho absence of Solid absorbent for the ester. The effective amount of said is chosen such that it is sufficient to increase hair growth in the rat when said composition is applied topically thereto over a period of no more than 3 months. Preferably, an activity enhancer is, in addition added U the said composition. |
