| Abstract | A zeolite selected from faujasite, zeolite P and offretite structures and having zinc in the framework structure has a free aperture main channel of a size 2.2A, a Si/Ai molar ratio 124/1 and either a Si/Ai molar ratio 1/1 or less than 0.01 mole of phosphorous in the framework structure. It is prepared by reacting together by heating in the presence of a liquid medium at least a source of silicon, source of aluminium, a sourch of zinc, a source of alkali metal ions and a source of hydroxyl ions. |
