AN IMPROVED SLIDETRANSPORTATION MECHANISM FOR A SLIDE PROJECTOR

Abstract

The slide transportation mechanism (10) for slide projector (2) comprises a stepper motor (9) which drives the first reduction gear (H) which, in turn., drives the second reduction gear (12) which drives a pinion (13) eccentrically mounted on an eccentric wheel (14). The pinion (13) drives another gear (15) with its square shaft (16) and which rotates a plurality of 'U' shaped slide holding brackets (20) articulately linked to another set of bracket to form an endless chain (17).' Each of the slide holding brackets (20) is provided with a channelled inner groove (28) for holding the slide (18) therein. Each of the bracket (20) on its one vertical side (30) is provided with a pair of hollow appendage (29) at its upper and lower end to form-an endless chain by passing a screw (31) through upper and lower hollow appendages (29) of the two adjacent brackets (20). The said eccentric wheel (14) pushes forward and backward the slitfe shifting means (21) which comprises a pair of racks (22) mounted .on a pair of rails (l) with their respective pinions (Not shown) for moving a.pair.of levers „(23) for arresting the slide holding brackets (20). Another pair' of levers (24) are worked by another pair of racks (25) with their respective pinions (not shown) for holding an individual slide holding bracket in position to bo presented in front of the projection lens. The said endless chain (17) passes over another round shaft (26) mounted on an eccentric (27) which is worked manually at the time of loading the endless chain (17) of the slide holding brackets.
