Abstract	The dmproved system (1) for collecting sewage and waste water and disposing the liquid contents, solids and floating material separately is shown to comprise c. tank (2) having two compartments (3 & 4) separated by a portion wall (20), The first compart (3) of the said tank (2) receive? flow of drainage or industrial waste (6) through a drainage pipe (5) which keeps of pau-ring into the said first compartment ( 3) The said first compartment (3) is having sloping portion of its bottom (7) which slopes downwards and sway from the drainage pipe (5) Further it becomes a flat bottom (M)There are provided two vertical supporting columns (8) being provided at the end of the said sloping bottom portion (7) of the said first compartment (3). There is provided a screen (9) in inclined position in the scid first compartment (3) top end (9a) of the said screen (9) touches upper end of the said partition wall (20) and projects downwards. The said screen (9) projects downwards through the said vertical columflfi (8) in the said first compartment (3). A ?crew conve/yor (18) iff provided at the bottom of the said first com-artment (3) for constantly removing heavier than water solids (12) in the form of grit. There being provided a pump (16) above the said screen (9) in the said first'compartment (3) for pumping out large floating material (10), there is provided another pump (17) below the said screen (9) in the said first compartment (3) for pumping out smaller floating material (19) which ha? passed through the said screen (y). A plurality of siphbnS3(13) being provided along the said partition wall (20) between th's said two compartments (3&4). A pluraltity of fiphons (13) are" meant for transferring the liquid wa,s-r te (11) from the said first compartment (3) to tHp second compartment "(4) for\| disposal through an outlet (15) provided in the said second compartment (4).
