A roller bearing cage for cylindrical roller bodies with reinforced side rings (1, 2) manufactured from a circular blank (10), which is initially reshaped from a rotation-symmetric, deep-drawn part (13), consisting of a base/bottom (11) and a cylindrical wall (12). Then the cylindrical wall (12) is stretched in its part area in such a way that there is a thickened part (14) at its upper end. Subsequently the base (11) is punched and the thickened upper part (14) flanged, so that both side rings (1, 2) of the cage are obtained. After its regulation the final form of the cage is made by means of a rolling process. The process as per this invention enables the production of a specially simple and cost-effective, generic cage. |
