| Full Text | DESCRIPTION (COMPLETE) OCR NOT PREPARE We claim: 1. An absorbent structure in the form of diaper, catamenial or pentiliner comprising a fluid permeable topsheet material, an absorbent core and a fluid permeable backsheet material, characterized in that said absorbent artical contains an odor-absorbing amount of a composition comprising an absorbent gelling material, a water soluble or water dispersible binder material and a water-insoluble odor-absorbing agent wherein the composition has: (a) at least 20% by weight of a particulate odor-absorbing agent selected from zeolite and activated carbon odor-absorbing agents, and mixture thereof; (b) at least 40% by weight of an absorbent gelling material of the kind herein described; and (c) a water soluble or water-dispersible binder material of the kind herein described forming the balance of the composition. 2. A process for preparing the absorbent artical as claimed in claim 1 comprising the step of contacting said absorbent gelling material and said odor-absorbing agents with the water-soluble or water-dispersible binder material, said process step being carried out in a fluidized bed apparatus. 3. An absorbent artical substantially as herein described in any one of the foregoing examples. 4. A process for preparing an absorbent artical substantially as hereinbefore described in any one of the foregoing examples. |
