Abstract | ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION OF SELF PROTECTION EOUIPOMENT USING HIGH ELECTRICAL IMPULSES A self protection equipment using high electrical impulses as explained in Fig - 1 and Fig-2 which uses high voltages with electrical and electronic circuits which does not harm any muscular and neural tissue when applied on the human body. The electrodes do not spark when switched on and improve the life of the battery. The equipment is a very good tool for law enforcing agencies, mob control police, private security agencies as the equipment is light weight, rugged and dependable without any frequent failures. The equipment is totally insulated to prevent any self shock and it is made out of High Density Poly Ethylene material which is highly non-conductor of electricity. |
Full Text | BACKGROUND OF PRESENT INVENTION The present invention is a "Self protection equipment using high electrical impulses' or electrical shock device, which consists of moderated and dependable electrical/electronic circuits eliminating frequent product failure. Where as the equipment is designed for a input voltage of DC 6volts (4x1.5 AA size batteries). But when by mistake applied upto 9 volts the equipment is capable of conducting itself with out any damage to any of the component. The present invention is a battery powered, hand held, light weight electrical device which can produce high voltages which does not display any sparking between the external electrodes. The equipment is comprising of a highly insulated non-conductive HDPE material casing, with a good grip for holding to facilitate the device to be securely held in the hand so that it cannot be knocked off or snatched by the assailant. The circuit is powered by 6 volts DC by way of connecting 4 nos ' AA' size pen torch batteries of 1.5 volts each. As per the present invention it is observed that the battery life is about 2 hours of continuous usage which amounts to about 7200 seconds and each application on an assailant lasts for about 3 seconds. Hence it is noticed that one battery pack of 4 Nos. can give 2400 applications approx. depending on the quality of the batteries. It is further discovered that the circuit, which produces 4500 to 5000 volts in open circuit, suddenly drops down to 30 to 35 volts when applied on the assailant and gives a discharge of approximately 1.5 to 2.0mA depending upon the body resistance of the individual. The point here to note is when the shock is applied on the assailant, the voltage, which is at 4500+ drops drastically to 30 to 35V but the assailant feels the high voltage for a very short time, which could be in milliseconds. Hence the assailant feels that there is a very high voltage. As an additional object of the invention, the hand held device is also made in the style of a standard police baton which can used as a police baton incorporating the high voltage device inside. It is further discovered that the circuit, which is producing 4500/5OOOvoIts, easily penetrates one layer of clothing when applied on an assailant. Hence it is not necessary to use the equipment on bare skin only. It is further discovered that, when the equipment is used on an assailant, and when the assailant is under the shock of high voltage, and if the assailant touches the person using the equipment, the shock does not get transferred from the assailant. Hence the user can be totally free of getting shocked by the assailant if he touches the user DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION The present invention does not relate to any equipment now available in India. This device produces a high voltage without any sparking or arcing between the electrodes. The intent of such an equipment is to be used as a 'Self protection equipment using high electrical impulses', which transmits a shock, which is totally safe and doesn't harm any muscular or neural tissue of the assailant. SUMMARY OF DRAWINGS FIG. 1 Outer view of the 'Self protection equipment' showing grip, handle, measurements of the outer case, switch, LED. FIG. 2 Showing circuit diagram of the electrical/electronic circuitry of the present invention.. Referring to FIG - 1, the present invention of 'Self protection equipment' comprises of a body made out of HDPE *-4 rne switch is directly connected to the power supply. The switch is made out of plastic body and push sidewards to on/off in one stroke. The switch is also connected parallely to a LED light (7 ) to show the indication ON while glowing. Component ( 8 ) is push and hold switch for activating the system when it is in standby position, i.e., when the switch (6 ) is activated. Component ( 8 ) only acts when the switch is depressed and held for limited time. A transistor ( 2 ) BEL - 2N 3083 is connected one end of the capacitor (4 ) and the other end to the transformer input 6V (1 ). A resistancec (3 ) 820Q is connected to the transistor in one end and the other end is connected to 6 V (2 ) side of the transformer. A capacitor(4)) 4700 mf @ 25V.is connected One end to the push switch (5 ) and Is further connected in series to (0 ) of input side of transformer (1 ). The other end is connected to on/off switch ( 7 ) and further connected in series to the transistor ( 2 ). A push switch ( 5 ) is connected to on/off switch at one end, and the other end is connected to capacitor (4 ) and further connected in series to the transformer input stage (0 ) V terminal. A on/off switch ( 7 ) is connected to push switch ( 5 ) at one end and to the battery bank (6 ) at the other end. A battery pack ( 6 ) is connected through connector clips which in turn connects to on/off switch at the one end and the capacitor (4 ) at the other end (10). I CLAIM A self protection equipment using high electrical impulses, wherein a 6 volt AA size battery bank supplies electricity to a circuit consisting of a transformed 1) which boosts the voltage, connected to a transistor-BEL-2N30&(2), which is again connected to a capacitor-4700 mf(4) creating high voltage with a very low ampere, further the transformer (1) is connected to a resistance(3) of 820 ohms that boosts the voltage in the circuit, typically to between 4500V to 5000V, and reduces the ampearage. A push switch (5) connected to on/off switch at one end, and the other end is connected to capacitor (4 ) and further connected in series to the transformer input stage (0) V terminal, as described with reference lo and as illustrated in the drawings. |
