Title of Invention | A MACHINE FOR LIFTING HEAVY WEIGHTS |
---|---|
Abstract | A machine for lifting heavy weights comprising a body which covers the entire assembly, a worm shaft with handle being attached to worm gear, a drum which allows rope to wind on its circumference to lift the load, a worm gear assembly which holds the drum and transmits the rotation to the worm shaft, the said worm gear transmits motion to the drum. A machine for lifting heavy weights substantially herein described with the accompanying drawings. |
Full Text | This invention in general relates to heavy duty machine. Further, this invention in particular relates to a machine for lifting heavy weights. The machine is unique in its features with a capacity to lift 0.5 Ton to 2 Tons. Accordingly it is the primary object of the invention to invent a novel machine which enables to lift heavy weights with less effort. It is another object of the invention to invent and develop a machine which increases work efficiency and saves labour and toil. Another object of the invention is to invent a machine that is more safe and it is also of a low cost. Further objects of invention will be clear from the ensuing description. A device to lift heavyweight comprises a body which covers the entire assembly, a worm shaft with handle being attached to worm gear, a worm gear assembly which the holds the drum and transmits the rotation to the worm shaft, the said worm gear transmits motion to a drum, a drum which allows the rope to wind on its circumference to lift the load, the said machine is such that the said worm shaft and worm gear assembly being designed to lift or release the weight at any stage of the lift. Now the invention will be described in detail with reference to drawings accompanying the complete specification. The description will set out various aspects of the invention. The working of the invention will be described in detail. Specially the salient features constituting the invention will be described. Figure 1 of the drawings shows that entire assembly of the machine in elevation. Figure 2 of the drawings shows in elevation the Worm Shaft with handle and Figure 3 of the drawings shows the Worm Gear with drum in the elevation view. This invention relates to a weight lifting machine which has the following specific materials used in the manufacturing of the machine: 1] Mild Steel 2] Cast Steel 3] Bronze / Gun Steel 4] Carbon 5] Tin 6] Zinc This invention relates to a process of manufacturing a weight lifting machine which has the following parts :- The assembly consists of a body, handle, worm shaft, worm gear and a drum. The description of various components and their functions are as follows; 1] Body : It covers the whole assembly 2] Worm Shaft with handle : Made harder to reduce wear $nd it is attached to the worm gear to apply rotation 3] Worm Gear : Holds the drum and transmits the rotation from the worm shaft 4] Drum Allows to wind the rope on its circumference to lift the load Further descriptions of the machine are as follows : A] The main body of the machine is made of mild steel [0.1 % to 0.25 % carbon] which covers the whole assembly. The sheet which is 168 millimeters of length, 114 millimeters of breadth and 6 millimeters of thickness is folded into the shape of a cylinder. B] The cylindrical body is then welded with the base, which has slots to clamp it on the vertical or the horizontal surfaces. C] The worms shaft is made up of cast steel [0.25% to 0.5 % carbon]. The shaft contains worm teeth, which is made by hobbing. D] The worm gear is made using gun metal [ carbon - 88%, tin - 10 % and Zinc - 2%] E] Then the drum is manufactured using mild steel and the drum is - fabricated by welding. F] The worm shaft and worm gear are fixed at the center of the body . G] Handle is provided to rotate the shaft and the motion is transmitted to drum through the worm gear. H] The drum allows the rope to wind on its circumference to lift the load. The following material with the range of composition is preferred in the manufacturing of the various parts of the machine. 1] Mild Steel 2] Cast Steel 3] Bronze / Gun Metal 4] Tin 6] Zinc MANUFACTURING :- 0.1 % to 0.25% carbon 0.25% to 0.5% carbon 88 % carbon 10 % carbon 2% carbon The body of the machine covers the whole assembly. The sheet which is 168 millimeters of length, 114 millimeters of breadth and 6 millimeters of thickness is folded into the shape of a cylinder and the body is then welded with the base which has slots to clamp it on the vertical or the horizontal surfaces. The worm shaft is made up of cast steel and it contains worm teeth which is made by hobbing. Then the drum is manufactured using mild steel and the drum is fabricated by welding. The worm shaft and worm gear are fixed at the center of the body. Handle is provided to rotate the shaft and the motion is transmitted to drum through the worm gear and the drum allows the rope to wind on its circumference to lift the load. This machine is a MACRO LIFT which has wide industrial use in respect of lifting heavy load / heavy weights I Claim 1. A machine for lifting heavy weights comprising a body which covers the entire assembly, a worm shaft with handle being attached to worm gear, a drum which allows rope to wind on its circumference to lift the load, a worm gear assembly which holds the drum and transmits the rotation to the worm shaft, the said worm gear transmits motion to the drum. 2. A machine for lifting heavy weights substantially herein described with the accompanying drawings. |
