---|---|
Abstract | The features of this Invention are .Hairiness is reduced by the principle of "Reverse Compacting" where the protruding fibres are compacted after they leave the drafting zone. .Compacting and the reduction of spinning triangle is achieved by the gr-ooved surface of the Hairs Compactor mounted above the lappet hook, touching the yarn betvl/een the front roller nip and lappet hook (Yam guide) resulting in reduction of hairiness, improved yarn evenness and yarn strengtf1. .The Position of the Hairs compactor can be adjusted depending on the yarn count to be spun and it does not hinder with piecing and doffing practices of a normal ring-frame .The Hairs Compactor does not require any power or any negative pressure is taken. |
Full Text | Introduction: Ring Yarn is produced on Ring Frame by using staple fibre. During yarn production protruding fibers are projected outside from the surface of the yarn, which is known as hairiness. This hairiness affects the further processing of yam and finally the fabric quality. In order to reduce the hairiness various attempts were made by various means. For example for achieving Hairiness reduction, in Rieter Compact system condensing of fibres and reduction in spinning triangle is achieved by creating a negative pressure in perforated front bottom roller whereas it is achieved by a separate condensing zone created by using perforated aprons and suction in Suessen Site system. In these systems condensing of fibres and reduction of spinning triangle is athieved before the fibre strand leaves the front roller nip. In this invention the attempts are made to reduce the spinning Triangle by introducing a device called Hairs Compactor in between front roller nip and laippet hook (Yam guide) Principle Used; In this invention the principle used is "Reverse Compacting'. That means Compacting is done after fibres leave the drafting zone and before reaching the twisting zone. Detailed descriptions of Inventions: Normally during production of yam, hairiness is caused due to protruding fibres. The protruding fibres are controlled in drafting zone as well as in twisting zone. But so far no attempts were made for reducing the spinning triangle for controlling protruding fibre in between front roller nip and lappet hook (Yarn Guide). Now in this invention spinning triangle is reduced and protruding fibres are controlled between front roller nip and lappet hook by using hairs compactor Hairs Compactor is fixed above the lappet hook for each spindle of ring frame, Hairs compactors are adjusted in such a way that the yam comes into contact with the hairs compactor by which the spinning triangle is reduced to a great extent and the yarn vibration between lappet and front roller nip is reduced to a minimum. This dual action helps to reduce the hairiness by putting the protruding fibres back to the main body of the yarn. The hairs compactor applies a small pressure on the yarn in order to maintain the required tension to reduce the vibration and spinning triangle. Constructional details; The Hairs compactor is made from metal having 3 Shapes (As shown in figure in subsequent drawings) 1) Vtype 2) Wing type and 3) Double groove type. The position of the Hairs Compactor can be altered to get desired levels of Hairiness. The type of the hairs compactor can also be selected depending on the type Of Ring frame, the count of Yam being produced. Description of the drawing Rg 1: Shows the Position of the Hairs Compactor fig 2: Shows the drawing of various type of Hairs Compactor Detailed description of the drawing Rg 1 in drawing sheet no. 1 of the attached drawing shows the position of the Hairs Compactor (4). fibres strand is delivered at the nip, where top roller (1) i$ pressed on bottom front roller (2). Hairs compactor is fixed above lappet guide (3) is continuously touching the yarn in order to reduce the spinning triangle. This yarn is twisted by the action of Ring and ring travellers and finally wound on to tire bobbin (5) on the spindle. Bg 2 in drawing sheet no.2 shows the front view of various type of Hairs Compactor i.e V Type (1), Wing type (2) and Double groove type (3). The dimension of Hairs Compactor is shown in (4). The length (I) of the flat surface not to exceed 30 mm and Width (b) 10 mm. The inner hole (c) is provided to mount the Hairs compactor above the lappet. Tire curved surface diameter not to exceed 12 mm. The side view of the Hairs Compactor is shown in (5). Functional detail*! Untwisted fibers are continuously delivered from the nip of the front roller and yam is produced by inserting the twist by spindle, ring and traveller. Between front roller nip and the lappet hook there is no control on yam and yam is subjected to vibration. Hairs compactor reduces the spinning triangle and yam vibration, thus resulting in the reduction of hairiness. The position of the Hairs compactor does not hinder with piecing practices of a normal ringframe operator. It also does not interfere with the doffing practices. Thus the fitting of a Hairs Compactor on a Ring frame does not create a change in work practice and therefore are very operational friendly. Tine Hairs Compactor does not require any power or any negative pressure is taken. Due to this the tendency of fluff accumulation is also reduced. More over the yam is much more abrasion resistant which also helps to reduce fly generation during the further processes. Advantages • Higher utilization of fibre substance • Yam twist can be reduced upto 5 to 10 % for an identical or improved yam Quality. This means a softer yam, increased production and reduced energy consumption • The significantly better utilization of fibre substance offers interesting possibilities of reducing raw material cost, by processing medium staple instead of long staple for example • Owing to the dramatic reduction of long hairs sticking out and the significantly improved yam parameters the operating performance in the weaving mills / next process is considerably improved. I Claim 1) Hairs compactor, a device mounted above the lappet hook for each spindle of Ring frame and like machines, consisting of flat surface for fixing on the lappet rail or Main frame, and comprising a groove for contacting and compacting the yarn, by which yarn hairiness is reduced and thus yarn evenness and strength is improved. 2) The Hairs compactor as claimed in claim no.l wherein the grooved surface is of V type, Wing type and double grooved type. |
