Abstract | A pack, in particular cigarette pack, having a blank which encloses the pack contents, is made of foldable packaging material, such as paper, film, cardboard or the like, is of multi-layered design in a sub-region and, as a result of folding, has a border- side overlap, an inner folding tab being connected to an outer folding tab by glue and the glue passing through a cutout in an inter mediate tab, characterized in that the cutout in the blank or in the intermediate tab is bounded by a punch cut which is rounded overall. |
Full Text | Patent claims: 1. Pack, in particular cigarette pack, having a blank (10) which encloses the pack contents, is made of foldable packaging material, such as paper, film, cardboard or the like, is of multi-layered design in a sub-region and, as a result of folding, has a border-side overlap, an inner folding tab being connected to an outer folding tab by glue and the glue passing through a cutout (29) in an intermediate tab, characterized in that the cutout (29) in the blank (10) or in the intermediate tab is bounded by a punch cut (30) which is rounded overall. 2. Pack according to Claim 1,. characterized in that the cutout (29) is elongate, in particular of more or less oval design, in the vertical direction of the pack. 3. Pack according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a piece of material or punched segment (31), which has been punched out of the blank (10) by the punch cut (30) in order to form the cutout (29) , is connected to the blank (10) via a residual connection (32) and is folded. out of the region of the cutout (29) . 4 . Pack according to Claim 1 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the blank (10) has the cutout (29) in the region of an outer strip (17) for forming a side wall (14) , to be precise in an inner leg (2 4) and an intermediate leg (25) of the Z-fold strip (21) , the cutout (29) being open in the direction of the free border by virtue of a severing cut (34) being positioned in the region of the cutout (29) . 5. Process for producing packs in the case of which pack contents are enclosed by at least one blank (10) made of foidable material, in particular paper, film or cardboard, the blank being severed from a continuous material web (33) and having at least one multi-layered folding strip (21). which is directed transversely and/or extends in the direction of the material web (33). and at least one cutout (29) in the region of the folding strip (21). characterized by the following features: a) the circuit ;29) is made in the blank (10) by punching into the continuous material web (33) in accordance with the position of the cutout (29), b) the material web (33) is then folded continuously in the longitudinal direction in order to form the folding strip (21), c) the blanks (10) provided with the folding strip (21) are then severed from the continuous material web (33) in their correct position by a transversely directed severing cut (34). d) the severing cut (34) runs through the cutout (29) with open sub-cutouts of different sizes being formed at one border of the blank (10) in the process, e) the blank (10) is then folded about the pack contents. Process according to Claim z, characterized in that rhe cutout (29) is made in the region of a transversely directed severing cut (34) through the material web (33) for severing a blank (10), in particular such that, when the severing cut (34; is made, it runs through the cutout (29) , differently sized sub-cutouts which are open in the direction of one border of the blank being formed in the process- Process according to Claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the cutout (29) is formed by a round interrupted punch cut (30) such that a piece of material or punched segment (31) is connected to the blank (10) via a residual connection (32) . 8. Process according to Claim 1, characterized in that, prior to the formation of the folding strip (21), the punched segment (31), which is connected to the blank (10) via the residual connections, is folded over, the cutout (29) being released in the process, until it butts against the blank (10), in particular into a position on that side of the cutout (29) which is located opposite the free lateral border of the blank (10) . 9. Process according to Claim 8, characterized in that the punched segment (31) is folded over, during the transportation of the material web (33), counter to the conveying direction of the material web (33), in particular in the region of a deflection of the material web (33) . 10. Apparatus for producing blanks from a continuous material web (33) having a folding tab or punched segment (31), which is formed in the region of the material web (33) and is merely connected to the material web (33) via residual connections, of a cutout (29) formed by punching, characterized in that the material web (33) is guided over a deflecting element, in particular over a deflecting roller (35), such that, on account of the material properties, the folding tab or the punched segment (31) is directed at an angle to the material web (33) in the region of the deflection, and in that the punched segment (31) can be folded over against the material web (33) by a folding element arranged in the region of the deflection, in particular a stationary folding roller (36) . 11. A cigarette pack substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings. 12. Process for producing packs substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Dated this 26 day of August 2003 |
