Extracts of flower of Nelumbo Nucifera, wood of Santalum Album, seeds of Piper Longum, roots of Zingiber Officinale, plant of Symplocos Race Mosa, fruit of Operculina Terpethum, wood of Pterocarpus Santalinus, Root of Saussurea Lappa, plant of Anacyclus Pyrethrum, fruit of Emblica Officinalis, Seeds of Brassica Campastris,froth of sea Water,fruits of Emblica Officinalis+Terminaliachebula + Terminalia Bellirca (all in equal amount )mixed all thoroughly in equal quantity and optionally mixing with one or more auxiliary substances selected from CaCo3, Precipitated Chalk, bathing soap, glycerin, menthol, Thymol, and Gum in a ratio of 0.5:1:1:0.5:0.5:.005:.01:.005:.05 respectively . |
Full Text | Field of the invention This invention relates to novel dental and gum care herbal composition and is useful in treatment and prevention of Pyorrhea, improvement of general gum and teeth conditions along with prevention and treatment of various other diseases. The composition of the present invention is generally used in the form of toothpaste or tooth powders. Background & Prior Art for the invention Various compositions in the form of tooth powders and pastes, such as G-32 Tab AlarSin, Pyorrhea Dental care powder, dental care powder produced by Dabur,, Pyorrhea produced by GuruKul Kangri, Pyro Dental powder produced by Jwala Ayurveda and tooth pastes like Forhans, Colgate, Binaca, Neem, Babool, Pepsodent etc. are available in the market. All the abovesaid toothpastes and powders are very effective in cleaning of teeth and making them free of germs. However none of them can treat permanently the pyorrheated gums. The doctors suggest repeated brushing of the teeth during infected conditions which may sometimes result wakening or loosening of the gums. Various ayurvedic and allopathic toothpastes and toothpowders are also available for treatment of the infected gums. However the side effects due to chemicals are inherent problems which the body has to face.. In cases of Pyorrhea the patient either has to extract out whole set of teeth or has to take treatment using antibiotics and pain killers and if not relieved the final treatment is the extraction of full dentures.. The Ayurvedic toothpastes are also available but are not so effective which can effectively and completely relieve or prevent the disease. Objects of the present invention: The object of the present invention is to provide a comprehensive and effective herbal composition with no side effects for care of the gums and teeth as well as for effective treatment of Pyorrhea. Further objective of the invention is to provide a herbal composition which can keep the teeth powerful and sparkling white. Still further objective of the invention is to provide a herbal composition which can restore the sparkling whiteness of the teeth which have got discolored due to some disease. Disclosure of the invention: The present invention discloses a novel dental and Gum care herbal composition , comprising the following ingredients : (i) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of flower of Nelumbo Nucifera (ii) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of wood of Santalum Album (iii) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of seeds of Piper Longum (iv) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of roots of Zingiber Officinale (v) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of plant of Symplocos Race Mosa (vi) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of fruit of Operculina Terpethum (vii) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of wood of Pterocarpus Santalinus (viii) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of Root of Saussurea Lappa (ix) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of plant of Anacyclus Pyrethrum (x) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of fruit of Emblica Officinalis (xi) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of Seeds of Brassica Campastris (xii) Dried powder or Aq. Solution of Extract of froth of sea Water (xiii) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of fruits of Emblica Officinalis +Terminaliachebula + Terminalia Bellirca (all in equal amount) All the ingredients are mixed with each other thoroughly in equal quantity . one or more auxiliary substances selected from CaCo3, Precipitated Chalk, bathing soap, glycerin, menthol, Thymol, and Gum may also optionally be mixed in a ratio of 0.5:1:1:0.5:0.5:.005:.01:.005:.05 with the aforesaid composition to convert the said herbal composition part into a tooth powder or paste form. The said herbal composition may be used in it's as usual form i.e. not converting it into a tooth powder or paste form. If the herbal composition is to be converted into traditional tooth powder form the following ingredients are mixed. Dried Extract 500 gm Calcium carbonate 1 Kg Precipitated chalk 1 kg Menthol 100 gm Essence to make powder user friendly If the herbal composition is to be converted into traditional tooth paste form the following ingredients are mixed: The extract 500 gm Calcium carbonate 1 Kg Precipitated chalk 1 kg Milk of magnesia 1 kg Bathing soap powder 500 gm Glycerin 500 gm Sweetening agent if required ( such as sugar) Thymol 5 gm Gum 50 gm Menthol 05 gm Essence to make paste user friendly The present invention also discloses the process for preparation of a novel dental and Gum care herbal composition comprising the steps of: Collecting the plant or plant parts as mentioned above & drying in sunlight and converting by dry grinding into fine powder & then sieving and if required preparing the aqueous extract of the powders in a known ayurvedic manner Mixing the ingredients powders or extracts in a ratio as mentioned above to obtain the composition Optionally mixing with one or more auxiliary substances selected from CaCo3, Precipitated Chalk, bathing soap, glycerin, menthol, Thymol, and Gum in a ratio of 1:1:0.5:0.5:.005:.01:.005:.05 respectively with the 0.5 part of herbal composition obtained above depending upon the requirement of using the composition in the form of paste or tooth powder. Optionally sugar syrup and any essence powder may be added in a ratio of .002 to .005 if the composition is required to be made sweet and perfumed. Statement of Synergism The herbal composition of the present invention alone can be used for the treatment of pyorrhea, discoloration of the tooth/teeth, Repairing of the teeth damaged due to an accident ( No requirement of any antibiotic), Strengthening of the gums & teeth in old age. This herbal composition if used once a day on teeth it prevents discoloration and pyorrhea of the teeth. In this way the composition of the present invention is not a mere admixture but is synergistic composition and having unexpected & enhanced sum total of the properties as compared to the properties of the individual ingredients. The present invention also discloses a process for preparation of a novel dental and Gum care herbal composition comprising the steps of: (i)Collecting the plant or plant parts as mentioned above & drying in sunlight and converting by dry grinding into fine powder & then sieving and if required preparing the aqueous extract of the powders in a known ayurvedic manner (ii)Mixing the ingredients powders or extracts in a ratio as mentioned above to obtain the composition (iii)Optionally mixing with one or more auxiliary substances selected from CaCo3, Precipitated Chalk, bathing soap, glycerin, menthol, Thymol, and Gum in a ratio of 1:1:0.5:0.5:.005:.01:.005:.05 respectively with the 0.5 part of composition obtained in step (ii) Optionally sugar syrup and any essence powder is added in a ratio of .002 to .005. The invention may be understood by the foregoing examples but these examples are not in way construed to limit the scope of the invention: Examples: Novel dental and Gum care herbal composition : (i) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of flower of Nelumbo Nucifera= 100 gm (ii) Dried powder or Aq. Extract of wood of Santalum Album- 100 gm (iii)Dried powder or Aq. Extract of fruits of Emblica Officinalis=100gm +Terminaliachebula + Terminalia Bellirca (all in equal amount) All mixed thoroughly, Now to make tooth powder 500 gm of abovesaid composition mixed with Calcium carbonate 1 Kg Precipitated chalk 1 kg Menthol 100 gm Essence of rose 2 gm To make the herbal composition as tooth paste Mix 500 gm of abobesaid herbal composition with Calcium carbonate 1 Kg Precipitated chalk 1 kg Milk of magnesia 1 kg Bathing soap powder 500 gm Glycerin 500 gm Sweetening agent if required ( such as sugar) Thymol 5 gm Gum 50 gm Menthol 05 gm Essence (rose ) 2 gm Process for preparation of the Herbal Composition: Collected the plant or plant parts as mentioned above & drying in sunlight for 5 days and converting by dry grinding into fine powder & then sieving and if required preparing the aqueous extract of the powders in known ayurvedic manner Mixing the ingredients powders or extracts in a ratio as mentioned above to obtain the composition and converting the herbal composition into paste or tooth powder by mixing with auxiliary ingredients in a manner as mentioned above. The herbal composition may also be used in it's original form. I Claim - 1. A novel dental and Gum care herbal composition , comprising the ingredients : a. Dried powder or Aq. Extract of flower of Nelumbo Nucifera b. Dried powder or Aq. Extract of wood of Santalum Album c. Dried powder or Aq. Extract of seeds of Piper Longum d. Dried powder or Aq. Extract of roots of Zingiber Officinale e. Dried powder or Aq. Extract of plant of Symplocos Race Mosa f. Dried powder or Aq. Extract of fruit of Operculina Terpethum g. Dried powder or Aq. Extract of wood of Pterocarpus Santalinus h. Dried powder or Aq. Extract of Root of Saussurea Lappa i. Dried powder or Aq. Extract of plant of Anacyclus Pyrethrum j. Dried powder or Aq. Extract of fruit of Emblica Officinalis k. Dried powder or Aq. Extract of Seeds of Brassica Campastris 1. Dried powder or Aq. Solution of Extract of froth of sea Water m. Dried powder or Aq. Extract of fruits of Emblica Officinalis+Terminaliachebula + Terminalia Bellirca (all in equal amount) Mixed all from (a) to (m) with each other thoroughly in equal quantity and optionally mixing with one or more auxiliary substances selected from CaCo3, Precipitated Chalk, bathing soap, glycerin, menthol, Thymol, and Gum in a ratio of 0.5:1:1:0.5:0.5:.005:.01:.005:.05 respectively . 2. A novel dental and Gum care herbal composition as claimed in Claim 1 wherein Optionally sugar syrup and any essence powder is added in a ratio of .002 to .005. 3. A process for preparation of a novel dental and Gum care herbal composition comprising the steps of: (a) Collecting the plant or plant parts as mentioned in claim 1 & drying in sunlight and converting by dry grinding into fine powder & then sieving and if required preparing the aqueous extract of the powders in a known ayurvedic manner (b) Mixing the ingredients powders or extracts in a ratio as mentioned in claim 1 to obtain the composition (c) Optionally mixing with one or more auxiliary substances selected from CaCo3, Precipitated Chalk, bathing soap, glycerin, menthol, Thymol, and Gum in a ratio of 1:1:0.5:0.5:.005:.01:.005:.05 respectively with the 0.5 part of composition obtained in step (b) 4.A process for preparation of a novel dental and Gum care herbal composition as claimed in Claim 3 wherein Optionally sugar syrup and any essence powder is added in a ratio of .002 to .005. |
