Full Text | FORM 2 THE PATENTS ACT, 1970 (39 of 1970) COMPLETE SPECIFICATION [See Section 10, rule 13) A LOCKING STRIP GODREJ & BOYCE MFG. CO. LTD. of LOCKS DIVISION PLANT-18, PIROJSHANAGAR, VIKHROLI, MUMBAI - 400 079 MAHARASHTRA, India a INDIAN National Company. The following specification particularly describes the nature of the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed :- A LOCKING STRIP The invention relates to a locking strip for locking multiple of locking outlets by separate padlock. More particularly the invention relates to a locking strip provided with multiplicity of holes on its surface with bridges support member angularly connected as a fastening means which goes inside the stem and wages against the stem member and locked by a padlock passing through the grooves provided in a strip member and the groove provided on the wheel at the mouth of the stem member. The conventional locking system wherein the 2 separate member are located by means of padlock is well known but the padlock are not very secure because it can be forced opened, the carriage provided with a liquid material for transport such as inflammable material, hazardous material which are very sensitive to spark which are having partition inside the tanker thereby several outlet which requires to be locked during transportation for keeping the inside material intact and to overcome the pilferage during the transport for the safety as well as good will of the manufacturer ; the genuineness of the material to be supplied which requires a pilferage proof in locking system where several outlet are locked at a time. By research and development inventor has found a locking strip member provided with multiplicity of spaced holes regularly or irregularly spaced with round, oblong, oval, angular or any shape can be provided on the strip to adjust the grooves in the wheel of the stem member for the locking by means of padlock; there is provided bridged support member rigidly fixed on the surface of the strip which will be wedge connected with stem member while locking thereby preventing pilferage and adultration and malpractice during transportation of the liquid material. 2 The primary object of this invention is to provide a locking strip for locking multiple outlets of transport carriage. Still object of this invention is to provide a locking Strip which can be arrested with a stem member by a pilferage proof support member provided on the strip member so that the locking of the outlet by means of padlock passing through grooves provided in strip member and the grooves provided in stem member and achieved. Accordingly there is provided a Locking Strip member (1) for multiple locking by separate pad lock consisting of a elongated rectangular strip having multiplicity of holes of different shapes and sizes on its surface (2) with rigid support member (3) on its edges / sides which is used for locking several outlet by means of plurality of padlock by helding the support member against the stem member of the outlet wheel and locking through the holes provided in the strip member and holes provided on the wheel of the stem member. The invention will now be clear form the following description in figures 1 to 3 in the accompanying specification. Figure 1: Is the elevation of the strip member having oblong holes provided horizontally and vertically. Figure 2 : Is the elevation of the strip member having circular holes at random. Figure 3 : Is the elevation of the strip member having circular holes on its axis. Figure 4 : Is the elevation of strip member with a spaced circular holes on the middle of the surface. 3 Figure 5 : Is the elevation of strip member with having a diagonally oblong holes. Figure 6 : Is the elevation of strip member having double holes overlapping each other. Referring to figures 1 to 6 of a Locking Strip member (1) consisting of a elongated rectangular strip having multiplicity of holes on its surface (2) with rigid support member (3) on its surface which is used for locking several outlet by means of plurality of padlock by helding the support member against the stem member of the outlet wheel and locking through the holes provided in the strip member and holes provided on the wheel of the stem member. This is an embodiment of the invention. Several modifications are possible may be considered within the ambit and spirit of this invention. Since many modifications, variations and changes in detail may be made to the above described embodiments, it is intended that all matters described in the foregoing description as described in the accompanying specification. 4 WE CLAIM :- 1. A Locking Strip member (1) for multiple locking by separate pad locks consisting of an elongated rectangular strip having multiplicity of holes of different shapes and sizes on its surface (2) with rigid support member (3) on its edges / sides which is used for locking several outlet by means of plurality of padlocks by holding the support member against the stem member of the outlet wheel and locking through the holes provided in the strip member and holes provided on the wheel of the stem member.
