Title of Invention

A MEDICINAL COMPOSITION FOR CURING PILES AND HARIS AND A METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME.

Abstract Described herein is a medicinal composition for curing Piles or like diseases comprising an emulsive mixture of Lime Water, Mercuric Chloride, Camphor, Olive Oil and Creosote and a process for preparing the same.
Full Text This invention relates to a medicinal composition for curing Piles and Haris and also a
method of its preparation.
The invention more particularly relates to a medicinal composition for curing Piles and
Haris comprising an emulsive mixture of lime water, mercuric chloride, camphor, olive oil
and creosote.
Piles or Hemorrhoids is a very painful disease at the rectum/anal region commonly found
in people of either sex especially at or after middle age. Due to various reasons there
often occurs enlargement of veins inside or around the anus/rectum region causing
formation of big lumps. As a result the passageway for bowel movement gets shrinkened
and the passing of stool becomes extremely painful. Further, rupturing of skin/membrane
also causes bleeding and secondary infection. There are three types of Piles - External
or Blind Piles, Internal or Bleeding Piles and Mixed Piles. In case of External or Blind
Piles, the lumps covered with skin occur only outside the anal region. There is no
bleeding or wound found. In case of Internal or Bleeding Piles, the lumps of Piles are
formed 1-2 inches inside the rectum covered with mucous membrane. This is a very
painful disease. At the initial stage it remains within anus and does not come out while
passing stool. Since these Piles are covered with soft mucous membrane, easy rupture
thereof causes bleeding and wound with huge pain. Due to gradual enlargement of
Piles, the rectum passageway gets shrunk and the pile comes out by pressure required
at the time of passing stool and finally remains outside only. Inflammation, huge bleeding
and huge pain become the routine affair in life. The third type is Mixed Piles which
occurs both inside and outside.
In the existing medicinal treatment method Carbolic Acid and Alcohol mixture is used as
injection in one of the methods. Another one is a mixture of Carbolic Acid Tannic Acid,
Alcohol and Glycerin also applied by intramuscular injection. But these are not very
successful. The cure is also not permanent. Other remedial measure is surgery. This is
expensive. Success rate is also not 100%.
The object of this invention is to provide a simple but also inexpensive medicinal
composition which can totally and permanently cure all types of Piles and Haris and its ill
effects.
The present invention is an outcome of surprising observation that a simple emulsion
type mixture combination of well known ingredients such as Lime Water, Mercuric
Chloride, Camphor, Olive Oil, Creosote in predetermined proportions applied preferably
by intramuscular injection cures all types of Piles and Haris with 100% success.
The said ingredients individually have their own medicinal uses. For example, Lime
Water is used in curing diseases of the stomach, calcium deficiency, phthisis, and other
diseases. Mercuric Chloride in small quantities is used in different medicinal
compositions. It is an irritant poison, most inflammatory and cures gangrene etc.
Camphor is used in curing influenza, pneumonia, heart failure etc. Olive oil is used as
purgative and in cosmetics. Creosote oil is a germicidal, antifouling agent and used in
preventing gangrene etc.
The said composition of invention is preferably used with an additional ingredient
Tetanus Antitoxin Serum to avoid contracting Tetanus.
Lime Water - 18 to 22 grain
Mercuric Chloride - 0.0050 to 0.0065 grain
Camphor - 0.25 to 0.40 grain
Olive Oil - 0.25 to 0.40 grain
Creosote - 0.25 to 0.40 grain
Tetanus Antitoxin Serum - 0.080 to 0.090 grain
The above emulsion mixture is to be intramuscularly injected 1 minim to ½ ml.
depending on the size of the lump of piles. The invented medicine cures the piles with
stoppage of bleeding, pain and the lumps sizes reduced to nil.
Most preferred composition per ml. of the medicine:-
Lime Water - 20 grains
Mercuric Chloride - 0.0057 grain
Camphor - 0.34 grain
Olive Oil-0.34 grain
Creosote - 0.34 grain
Tetanus Antitoxin Serum - 0.084 grain
Process of preparation: -
20 grains of slaked lime is kept in 31/2th Oz pure water for about 4 hours. The supernatant
clear water above the deposited lime at the bottom of the container is the lime water.
0.0057 grain of Mercuric Chloride is separately dissolved in minimum distilled water and
then mixed with required quantity of above lime water. To this mixture are added
Camphor, Olive Oil and Creosote all at the rate of 0.34 grain per ml. of the composition.
Finally, as and when required Tetanus Antitoxin Serum at the rate of 0.084 grain per ml.
of the composition is added. The resultant composition is thoroughly shaken to produce
the desired Piles curing medicinal composition as an emulsive mixture to be
administered as intramuscular injection and is stored in cool and dark atmosphere.
From the above disclosure the object of the invention stated herein has been completely
fulfilled. Having now fully described this invention, it will be understood by those of
ordinary skill in the art that the same can be performed within a wide and equivalent
