Abstract |
The present invention relates to a system for identification of oven for on-line scheduling of ovens in a coke oven battery facilitating cost-effective and efficient automatic identification of ovens during pushing and leveling operation for on-line scheduling of ovens. The system comprises two IR transmitting means located on each of the pusher ears, sets of IR receiving means located on fixed structure of coke oven battery comprising a first set of IR receiving means adapted to sense occurrence of pushing operation and a second set of IR receiving means adapted to sense occurrence of leveling by the said pusher cars, wherein said first and second sets of IR receiving means are located such that there is no cross talk, PLC interfaced With said sets of IR receiving means for recording occurrences of pushing and leveling, said PLC being programmed to prepare battery schedule based on standard operating practices and actual pushing and leveling occurrences as recorded. |
