FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention is related to the torch assembly to feed the wires in submerged arc welding process which includes a torch holder fitted to the wire feeder for a support of pivotal movement transverse to the welding direction and includes a torch positioner and nozzle. The wire received from the wire feeder is smoothly delivered to the welding zone. A contact nozzle is associated with current carrying guide for welding operation. The torch positioner enables the wire to be fed smoothly and position the wire accurately in relation to the sidewall of the plate to be welded. The torch assembly includes the torch nozzle, tilting frame lock nut and an adjustable screw. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION There is a growing interest in the development and application of narrow gap submerged welding techniques in various engineering fields. Narrow gap welding is essentially a technique and not a process by itself. This technique was developed in order to reduce the amount of weld metal deposit required to weld the joint. Additional attractive feature of narrow gap submerged arc welding are low heat input, less distortion, better mechanical properties and improved productivity and economy. This special torch can be fitted to any conventional submerged arc welding machine. By this torch narrow gap welding using single and tandem wire techniques of submerged welding for high wall thick plate and pipe can be performed effectively and economically. SUMMARY CTF T_HE INVENTION Therefore the main object of the present invention relates to an improved torch assembly to feed the wire for the welding of high wall thickness joints in narrow gap using single wire and tandem wire techniques in submerged arc welding process. According to this invention there is provided an improved torch assembly for narrow gap welding using single and tandem wire techniques in submerged are welding characterized in that a torch holder fitted to the wire feeder at the top end and to a torch positioner at the bottom and fixed with a lock nut for a support of pivotal movement transverse to the welding direction, said positioner has a nozzle at the lower end and assembly of positioner and the torch holder is provided with a tilting means comprising a tilting frame mounted on an adjustable screw with a handle. The nature of the invention, its objective and further advantages residing in the same will be apparent from the following description made with reference to the non limited exemplary embodiments of the invention represented in the accompanying drawings. The gaps between the work pieces are narrow. The construction of the special narrow gap torch is shown in Fig.l. Further details of each of the components of torch assembly is shown in Figures 2 to 7. A torch holder (1) is fitted to the wire feeder for a support of pivotal movement transverse to the welding direction and includes a torch positioner (2) and nozzle (3). The wire received from the wire feeder is smoothly delivered to the welding zone. A contact nozzle is fitted to the torch positioner (3) which guides and carries current for welding operation . The torch positioner (2) enables the wire to be fed smoothly and position the wire accurately in relation to the sidewall of the plates to be welded. The improved torch is capable of doing welding upto 200 mm thickness of plate and pipe. The torch assembly includes the torch nozzle (3), tilting frame (4), lock nut (7) and and an adjustable screw (5) with handle (6). This improved system can be utilised effectively for narrow gap welding using single and tandem wire technique with and without seam tracking in submerged arc welding process. The torch holder (1) is essential for mounting the torch assembly in any of the conventional submerged arc welding machines. This can be modified according to the available conventional submerged arc welding machine. The torch positioner frame (2) is adjustable by means of a tilting/(4) with an adjustable screw (5) which is mounted on the positioner (2) and is adjustable manually. At the upper end of the positioner a lock nut (7) is provided for holding the torch nozzle (1) in a desirable and accurate position with respect to the narrow grooves joint to be welded. A further objective of the invention is to provide a better 'and simple design of a torch assembly to feed wire for narrow gap welding using single and tandem wire techniques in submerged arc welding. The torch holder (1) which supports pivotal movement transverse to the welding direction helps in directing the welding wire towards the side walls to enable proper fusion, thereby improving the quality of the weld. The torch positioner (2) enables both of the wire feeding smoothly and also positioning the wire assembly in relation to the sidewall of the joint to be welded. The torch holder (1) is a simple element for mounting on the torch assembly of any of the conventional submerged arc welding machines. This can be modified according to the available conventional submerged arc welding machine. The design of the torch holder assembly is simple and requires only a few components. The invention described hereinabove is in relation to the non limiting embodiments and as defined by the accompanying claims. WE CLAIM; 1.
