A method for controlling a cutworm pest wherein said method comprising applying a CiylF toxin to soil or plants to prevent cutworm damage to plants where cutworms are known or suspected of being present 2. The method as claimed in claim 1 wherein said toxin is applied to V 1 plants. 3. The method as claimed in claim 1 wherein said toxin is applied to V 2 plants. 4. The method as claimed in claim 1 wherein said cottons are thin instar or greater larvae. 5. The method as claimed in claim 1 wherein said toxin is applied to seedlings. 6. The method as claimed in claim 1 wherein said toxin is applied as a bait formulation. 7. A polynucleotide for expressing aerie 1 Gene Jan V 1 plant. 8. A polynucleotide for expressing a cry 1 F gene in a V 2 plant. 9. A polynucleotide for expressing a city 1 F gene in a seedling. |
