| Abstract | The present invention relates to a mixture of sulfated oligosaccharides having the general structure of the constituent polysaccharides of heparin and having the following characteristics: they have a mean molecular weight of 1500 to 3000 daltons, an anti-Xa activity of 150 to 200 IU/mg, an anti-IIa activity of less than 10 IU/mg and an anti-Xa activity/anti-IIa activity ratio of greater than 30, the constituent oligosaccharides of the mixtures contain 2 to 26 saccharide units, have a 4,5unsaturated uronic acid 2-O-sulfate unit at one of their ends, contain the hexasaccharide Alla-Its-Is of formula and are in the form of an alkali or alkaline-earth metal salt. |
