Abstract	A guided control valve (10') comprising a vapor recovery area (50) that encourages collapse of vapor bubbles. In a cage-guided valve (10'), a seal comprising inner (56) and outer members (54) reduces flow through a radial clearance between a plug (16) and a cage (20). The vapor recovery area (50) is positioned below the seal (52) and above a seat (22) interacting with the plug (16). The vapor recovery area encourages collapse of vapor bubbles (50) to reduce damage to the valve trim. (FIG). 1
