METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REDUCTION OF FM INERFERENCE FOR FM IN-BAND ON-CHANNEL DIGITAL AUDIO BROADCASTING SYSTEM.
Abstract This invention relates to a method for reducing FM interference in an in-band on-channel digital audio broadcasting system, comprising the step of receiving a composite signals including a signal of interest (10) and an interfering signal (24). Normalizing the complete signal to produce a normalized composite signal; multiplying said composite signal by a complex conjugate of said normalized composite signal to produce a real signal; filtering said real signal to produce a filtered signal; and multiplying said filtered signal by said normalized composite signal to produce an output signal, wherein the adverse effects of the interfering signal in the output signal have been reduced.
