Abstract |
This invention relates to a device for exhaust emission control of an internal combustion engine (10) in particular a diesel engine, comprising: a casting tube (3); at least one catalyst carrier body (1) through which exhaust gas can flow in a flow direction, said at least one catalyst carrier body (1) being disposed in said casing tube (3) and having a honeycomb structure; an electrically heating honeycomb body (2) disposed downstream of said at least one catalyst carrier body (1) in the exhaust gas flow direction, said honeycomb body (2) having ends and power connections (4) each disposed at a respective lone of said ends, said honeycomb body (2) defining a twisting current path over an electrically isolating gap (5), said honeycomb body (2) having a first cross-sectional area, said gap (5) having a second cross-sectional area; electrically insulating supporting elements (6) fastening said honeycomb body (2) to said at least one catalyst carrier body (1). The radio of the first cross-sectional area to the second cross-sectional area is smaller than 2. |
