| Abstract | A plant for manufacturing urea from carbonaceous materials (15), oxygen (14) from an air separation unit (15) and water (13), preferably steam, is made up of a syngas generator unit (11), an air separation unit (15), Fischer-Tropsch unit, a CO2 removal unit (26), a hydrogen removal unit (28), a methanator unit 34), an ammonia converter unit (38) and a urea synthesizer unit (29). Each of Fischer-Tropsch liquids, ammonia, hydrogen and urea can be recoverable under proper economic conditions. Electrical power is recoverable by the addition of at least one of a steam turbine (18) and a gas turbine (24) which is/are coupled to an electrical generator (25). |
