Full Text | Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a plant growth promoter comprising unsaponifiable material, inorganic salts and micronutrients. The plant growth promoter also contains other ingredients such as surfactants, emulsifying agents and diluents. The plant growth promoter promotes or enhances yield of the crop. Background of the invention US paieiu number 4,605,430 discloses a storage table emulsified concentrate cornposiiion for dilution with water and subsequent treatment of plants comprising on hundred weight percent total concentrate composition basis : (a) from about 0.2 to 2.0 weight percent of a growth promoter produced by the process of claim 47. Accordingly, the present invention provides plant growth promoter comprising unsap onitlable material, emulsifying agent, inorganic salt and other micronutrients. According to another embodiment of the present invention, the plant growth promoter also contains other ingredients such as surfactants, and diluents. According to another embodiment of the present invention, the plant growth promoter also contains plant hormones. According to yet another embodiment of the present invention, the unsaponiflable material contains aliphatic alcohols with C22-C38 carbon atoms. Accr-rding to yet another embodiment of the present invention, the unsaponifiable material specifically contains aliphatic alcohols with C24-C36 carbon atoms. According to yet another embodiment of the present invention, the unsaponifiable materia! preferably, contains aliphatic alcohols with C28-C32 carbon atoms. According to yet another embodiment of the present invention, the aliphatic alcohols may be straight chained or branched. Detailed Description of the Invention The unsaponiflabe material may be of plant origin and is prepared by procedures known in the art by extraction techniques. Sources for the unsaponiflabe material are rice bran wax. carnuba wax, alpha alpha plant. The inorganic salts are selected from nitrogen, potassium-containing salts such as potassium nitrate, potassium chloride. The micronutrients are selected from sodium, calcium, manganese, zinc, copper, cobalt, molybdenum and the like or mixtures thereof. The micronutrients may be in salt form which are selected from sulphates, chlorides, molybdates and the like or mixtures thereof. The plant hormone used in the present invention is selected from phytohormones, auxins, gibberillins, cytokinins and the like or mixtures thereof. The emulsifying agent used in the present invention is selected from sodium lauryl sulphate. tween 20, sodium octadecyl suphate and the like or mixtures thereof. The diluents used in the present invention are selected from water, or other organic solvents such as chloroform, acetone. The unsaponifiable material contained in the present invention may in the range of 0.1 to. 10 % of the total weight. The unsaponifiable material contained in the present invention is specifically in the range of 0.2 to 0.6 % of the total weight. The inorganic salts and micronutrients are in the range of 0.1 to 20 % of the total weight. The plant growth promoter is prepared by a process which comprises mixing the desired proportions of unsaponifiable material, plant hormone, emulsifying agent and diluents. The plant growth promoter has been used for field trials on ground nut. The percent increase in the pod yield is given in the below table. The above table shows the percent increase in the crop yield, which proves to have advantages in the total income. Similarly. the product has been tested on mango groves, cotton, chilies, paddy, tobacco, flowering plants, sugar cane, fruit bearing plants, vegetables, wherein similar results have been obtained. We claim ; 1. A plant growth promoter comprising unsaponifiable material, emulsifying agent, inorganic salts, micronutrients and other ingredients. 2. The plant growth promoter according to claim 1, where in other ingredients are surfactants, and diluents. 3. The plant growth promoter according to claim 1, also contains plant hormones. 3. The plant growth promoter according to claim 1, the unsaponifiable material contains aliphatic alcohols with C22-C38 carbon atoms. 5. The plant growth promoter according to claim 1, the unsaponifiable material specifically contains aliphatic alcohols with C24-C36 carbon atoms. 5. The plant growth promoter according to claim 1, the unsaponifiable material preferably contains aliphatic alcohols with C28-C32 carbon atoms. 7. The plant growth promoter according to claim 1, wherein the inorganic salts are selected from nitrogen, potassium-containing salts such as potassium nitrate, potassium chloride. 8. The plant growth promoter according to claim 7, wherein the micronutrients are selected from sodium, calcium, manganese, zinc, copper, cobalt, molybdenum or mixtures thereof. I I9. The plant growth promoter according to claim 7, wherein the micronutrient in salt form are selected from nitrates, sulphates, chlorides, molybdates or mixtures thereof 10. The plant hormone according to claim 3, used in the present invention is selected from phytohormones, auxins, gibberillins, cytokinins and the like or mixtures thereof. 11. The plant growth promoter according to claim 1, the emulsifying agent used in the present invention is selected from sodium lauryl sulphate, tween 20, sodium octadecyl sulphate or mixtures thereof. 12. The diluents according to claim 2 are selected from water, or other organic solvents such as chloroform, acetone. 13. The plant growth promoter according to claim 1, wherein the unsaponifiable material contained in the present invention is in the range of 0.1 to 10 % of the total weight. !4. The plant growth promoter according to claim 1, wherein the inorganic salts and micronutrients are in the range of 0.1 to 20 %. 15. The plant growth promoter according to claim 1 is prepared by a process which comprises mixing the desired proportions of unsaponifiable material, plant hormone, emulsifying agent and diluents. |
