| Abstract | An apparatus for producing a mock-ply yarn (1), comprising a drafting unit (2), which presents two in parallel travelling, drafted fibre strands (12, 13) at a front nipping line (11) with a delivery nipping line (14) acting as a twist block, downstream of said nippiong line a twist device (4) is arranged which now jointly twists the previously condensed fibre strands (16, 17), characterized in that the condensing zone (3) comprises a mechanical condensor (21) which comprises two adjacently arranged condensing channels (22, 23) which taper in transport direction (A) of the fibre strands (12, 13). |
