| Abstract | Disclosed is a plasma lighting apparatus. The conventional art requires high cost and a large installation area due to a reflector and a light guide installed with long lengths. The reflector has a parabola cross section for straightly reflecting light, and is heated by heat generated from a bulb located therein. The present invention comprises a waveguide (40) for transmitting microwave generated in a magnetron (30); a mesh screen (50) coupled to an outlet portion of the waveguide (40) for blocking a leakage of the microwave and passing light; a bulb (60) located in the mesh screen (50) for emitting light by generating plasma by the microwave; and a globe installed on outer area of the mesh screen (50) so that the light generated in the bulb (60) can be radiated to ombidirection. The present invention has simple structure, low cost, and omnidirectional lighting effect by installing the globe around the bulb without using a reflector and a light guide. |
