| Abstract | The invention provides a process for the production of ultra low phosphorus ferro Chrome. The blend of raw materials charge in the furnace is varied by reducing the quantity of friable chrome ore briquettes and correspondingly increasing the quantity of friable ore lumps. This results in reducing the total quantity of phosphorus entering the furnace thereby producing low phosphorus ferro chrome. |
