| Abstract | This invention relates to a sanitary napkin (1) having discreet flaps adapted to be worn in a crotch portion of an undergarment in use, the sanitary napkin (1) comprising a substantially planar and elongate main body (4) having two longitudinal side edges (5), the main body (4) having a garment faceable outer layer (6) of a liquid impermeable material, a body faceable cover layer (3) of a liquid permeable material, an absorbent core (8) inserted into the main body (4) between the outer layer (6) and the inner layer (3), at least one substantially protuberant flap portion (2), substantially projecting outwards from each longitudinal side edge (5) of the main body (4) of the sanitary napkin (1). Each flap (2) is substantially transparent and/or translucent, and in that each flap (2) is formed from a separate strip of material that is attached to the main body (4). |
