Abstract | The invention relates to a compact indigo dying device for dyeing a thread flock, comprising: atleast one movable first beam (1) containing undyed yarn flock having a first yarn leasing means (3) mounted on a platform attached to the device, a first guide roller (2) for directing the undyed yarn flock forwardly and inwardly to a first dyebath (4) having indigo dye therein for first-time dying; a flexible guide roller (5) interposed in the first dyebath (4) for guiding the first time dyed yarn flock upwardly and outwardly to a pair of squeeze rollers (6, 7) which remove the excess of dye liquor from the first-time dyed yarn flock; a second yarn leasing means (8) for skying the squeezed yarn flock being subsequently collected on a moveable second beam (10) via a second guide roller (9) before being oxidized by means of an air blower (11); a second dyebath (4a) disposed backwardly with reference to the first dyebath (4) having a common outlet (17), the first time dyed yarn flock collected in the second beam (10) in registration with a reverse motion of the machine caused to undergo the steps of dyeing, squeezing, skying and oxidizing before being collected in the first beam (1), characterized in that an electro-mechanical reversing means (16) is provided to achieve repeated dying of the thread flock alternatively in the first and the second dyebath (4, 4a) to arrive at a desired shade, and in that a speed controller (13) being provided to synchronize the movement of the first and the second movable beams (1,10) in correspondence with a speed of the pair of squeeze rollers (6,7). |
Full Text | This 'invention relates to an indigo dyeing machine for dyeing the thread used for preparing denim cloth. The indigo dyeing machine is as such known in the prior art and comprises a plurality of dyeing baths for containing dyeing material/dies used I or dyeing the threads. A plurality of sets of rollers are provided over the dyeing baths for guiding the movement of the threads and squeezing the threads after each dyeing bath.. A pre—washing bath and an after washing bath are provided in the beginning and at the end of the dyeing baths for pre—washing and after washinq the thread.. 1'here are certain disadvantages associated with the prior art. One of the main disadvantage is that the machine is imported machine ~nd is very costly5 and not afforded by ttiw~fl~Tl scale industries owners. The n7aintenar~eof the machine is also very costly. not is advantage is that the conventional dyeing machine is a very big machine and requires a large space of 6x5~ sq. meters for its installation. Yet another disadvantage is that a number of dyeing baths are there in the conventional machine and the dyeing is carried out in different dye baths which is a vorV inconvenient and cumbersome process of dyeing. Therefore the main object of this invention is to propose a novel igo dyeing machine having a pair of bath for dyeing and for washing the thread for use for the preparation of denim. Another object of this invention is to propose a novel dyeing machine which is very cheap and the maintenance thereof is very easy. Yet another object of this invention is to propose an indigo dyeing machine which requires a very small place (5x5 sq. meters only) for its installations. Still another object of this invention is to propose a novel dyeing machine having the production capacity as much as of the conventional machine. According to this invention there is provided an indigo dyeing machine for dyeing the thread comprising a pair of baths mounted on the main frame of the dyeing machines a support being provided at one side of said main frame for supporting the beam of yarn5 a guide roller and a leasing for yarn being provided on either sides of the main frame of the machine for guiding the movement of the yarn during threads dyeing process, a set of squeeze rolls being provided over said dye baths for squeezing the thread after the each step of dyeing and / or washing, another support being provided on the other side of said main frame for supporting the beam dyed yarn, control means being provided on the front side of the main frame for controlling the speed and the temperature respectively, means being provided to change the movement of the air blowers being provided on either sides of the main frame for providing air for oxidation and / or drying purposes of the dyed thread. In accordance with this invention there is provided a compact indigo dying device for dyeing a thread flock, comprising: atleast one movable first beam containing undyed yarn flock having a first yarn leasing means mounted on a platform attached to the device, a first guide roller for directing the undyed yarn flock forwardly and inwardly to a first dyebath having indigo dye therein for first-time dying; a flexible guide roller interposed in the first dyebath for guiding the first time dyed yarn flock upwardly and outwardly to a pair of squeeze rollers which remove the excess of dye liquor from the first-time dyed yarn flock; a second yarn leasing means for skying the squeezed yarn flock being subsequently collected on a moveable second beam via a second guide roller before being oxidized by means of an air blower; a second dyebath disposed backwardly with reference to the first dyebath having a common outlet, the first time dyed yarn flock collected in the second beam in registration with a reverse motion of the machine caused to undergo the steps of dyeing, squeezing, skying and oxidizing before being collected in the first beam, characterized in that an electromechanical reversing means is provided to achieve repeated dying of the thread flock alternatively in the first and the second dyebath to arrive at a desired shade, and in that a speed controller being provided to synchronize the movement of the first and the second movable beams in correspondence with a speed of the pair of squeeze rollers. The indigo dyeing machine has a pair of baths for containing dyeing material / dyies and / or washing liquor for dyeing and washing the threads for use for preparing denim. The baths are supported on the main frame of the machine. An outlet is provided near the bottom of each bath for draining out the contents therefrom. A dye storage tank is provided above the dye bath for storing the dyeing material. A guide roll and a front beam yarn support alongwith a leasing are provided on both sides of the dyeing machine. A guide roll is also provided in the dyeing baths near the bottom ends thereof for guiding the movement of the threads in the baths.. A set of squeeze rolls is provided alongwith a set of pneumatic pressure rolls having balancer provided therewith, over the dyeing baths for squeezing the thread after dyeing and washing of the thread. Another guide roll and a support alongwith a leasing are provided on the other side of the main frame for guiding the movement of the thread and supporting the back beam of yarn. A motor is supported on the bottom of the frame for providing movement to the guide rolls, squeeze rolls and other components of the dyeing machine. A speed controller and temperature ~ontraller are provided on the front side of the main frame of the machine. Indicators are also provided on the front side of the machine. A reverse and forward movement means are provided at the front side of the machine such that to be operated the machine in both directions. A plurality of fans/blower are provided on either sides of the main frame for providing air to the threads for oxidation and/or drying purposes.. Means are provided with the blowers to provide hot air as and when required.. An indigo dyeing machine according to ~a preferred embodiment is herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings wherein: Fig..1 shows the plan view of the dyeing machine. Referring to the drawings the indigo dyeing machine of this invention has a dyeing baths 4 and 4a supported on the main frame F of the dyeing machine for containing Wyeing material/dye therein. Bath 4a (not shown) is provided behind the bath 4.. An outlet 17 is provided near the bottom of the baths 4 and 4a for draining the contents from the baths.. A dye storage tank 19 is provided over the dyeing baths 4 and 4a for supplying the dyeing material into the dyeing baths as and when required by the user. A support S is provided at one side of main frame F for supporting the beam of yarn 1. A guide role 2 and a leasing for yarn 3 is provided at the same side for guiding the movement of the yarn. Another guide role 5 is provided in the dyeing baths 4 and 4A for guiding the movement of the yarn in the baths. A set of squeeze rolls 6 and 7 alongwith the pneumatic means 18 are provided over the baths 4 and 4A for squeezing the yarns/threads each time after dyeing/washing of the threads,. A second leasing 8 and a guide roller 9 and a support 51 are provided on the other side of the main frame F for guiding the movement of the yarns and to facilitate the collection of the yarn over the beam 1W. ~ motor 12 is mounted on the bottom of the main frame F for providing movements to all the components of the indigo dye machine. A speed controller 13. indicators 14 and a temperature controller 15 are provided on the front side of the main frame F of the machine to control the temperature. The reverse and forward movement means 16 are also provided on the front side of the main frame F of the machine for providing reverse and forward movement to the threads to be dvierl ~ru1 as and when reqL~1recJ. 1-ans/blowers 11 are provided on both sides of the main frame F for providing cold/hot air for oxidation and/or drying the dyied/washed threads. Durinq the process of dyeing a beam of undyed yarn I. is prepared and mounted on the support attached with dyeing machine. Sheets of undyed yarns are passed into dyebath 4 with help of guide roller 2. A yarn leasing facility 3 provided to prevent entanglement of yarns~. flyebath 4 has indigo dye in reduce form.. To guide yarns a flexible guide roll 5 is provided in the dye baths 4 and 4a.. These yarns are then passed through a set. of PVC coated rollers called squeeze roller 6 and 7. Roller 6 has a positive motion through a motor 12 mounted on the plateform. While roller number 7 has pneumatic pressure provision and mounted on balancer 18. These yarns/threads are passed through these rollers and squeezed to remove excess of dye liquor and then after leasing 8. and collected on second beam 1W with the help of guide roll 9. Motion of front beam I and yarn collecting beam 1QJ is given by chain system and syncronised with the speed of squeeze rollers. These one time dyed yarns are again passed through second dye bath provided on the backside of the machine by reversing the motion of the machine. These yarns are squeezed and collected on the front beam I. This process is repeated several time as per the requirement of shade. After getting proper shade dye liquor from the both dye bath is removed and these dye bath is filled with washing liquor for washing unfixed dye from the yarn. After washing yarns are squeezed and dryed by using hot air and collected on the back beam 1W.. We Claim 1. A compact indigo dying device for dyeing a thread flock, comprising: - atieast one movable first beam (1) containing undyed yarn flock having a first yarn leasing means (3) mounted on a platform attached to the device, a first guide roller (2) for directing the undyed yarn flock forwardly and inwardly to a first dyebath (4) having indigo dye therein for first-time dying; - a flexible guide roller (5) interposed in the first dyebath (4) for guiding the first time dyed yarn flock upwardly and outwardly to a pair of squeeze rollers (6, 7) which remove the excess of dye liquor from the first-time dyed yarn flock; - a second yarn leasing means (8) for skying the squeezed yarn flock being subsequently collected on a moveable second beam (10) via a second guide roller (9) before being oxidized by means of an air blower (11); - a second dyebath (4a) disposed backwardly with reference to the first dyebath (4) having a common outlet (17), the first time dyed yarn flock collected in the second beam (10) in registration with a reverse motion of the machine caused to undergo the steps of dyeing, squeezing, skying and oxidizing before being collected in the first beam (1), characterized in that an electro-mechanical reversing means (16) is provided to achieve repeated dying of the thread flock alternatively in the first and the second dyebath (4,4a) to arrive at a desired shade, and in that a speed controller (13) being provided to synchronize the movement of the first and the second movable beams (1, 10) in correspondence with a speed of the pair of squeeze rollers (6, 7). 2. The indigo dyeing device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a first (6) of the pair of squeeze rollers has a positive motion imparted by a motor (12), and wherein the second squeeze roller (7) having a pneumatic pressure means (18) and mounted on a balancer (18). 3. The indigo dyeing device as claimed in claim 1, comprising a dye-liquor storage tank (19) disposed above the platform of the machine. 4. The indigo dyeing device as claimed in any of the preceding claims, wherein a dual-indicating means (16) for indicating one of an operational and stand-by mode of the machine is provided. 5. The indigo dyeing device as claimed in preceding claims, wherein a temperature controller (15) is provided to control the temperature of the dye-liquor in the first and the second dye baths (4,4a). 6. A compact indigo dying device for dyeing a thread flock as substantially described herein with reference to the accompanying drawings. |
