HYDROGEN-OXYGEN GAS GENERATOR AND HYDROGEN-OXYGEN GAS GENERATING METHOD THEREOF

Abstract A hydrogen-oxygen gas generator, comprising an electrolyzer, an electrode group formed of anodes and cathodes alternately disposed in the electrolyzer, a power source for applying a voltage across the anodes and cathodes, and a gas collecting means for collecting the hydrogen-oxygen gas generated by the electrolysis of electrolyte, the gas collecting means further comprising a cover member installed on the electrolyzer and a hydrogen-oxygen gas extracting tube connected to the hydrogen-oxygen gas outlet of the cover member, the vibrating stirring means further comprising vibrating motors vibrating at a frequency of 10 to 200 Hz and vibrating blades installed on vibrating bars vibrating inside the electrolyzer in connecting with the vibrating motors so as not to be rotated, wherein the vibrating stirring means for vibratingly stirring the electrolyte are supported by support tables, and a distance between the anodes and cathodes adjacent to each other in the electrode group is set in the range of 1 to 20 mm.

WE CLAIM:
1. A hydrogen-oxygen gas generator comprising:
an electrolytic cell (10A),
an electrode group (2%, 2y) formed from a first electrode (71a) and a second electrode (71b) mutually installed in said electrolytic cell (10A),
a power supply (34) for applying a voltage across said first electrode (71a) and said second electrode (71b), add
a gas trapping means for collecting the hydrogen-oxygen gas generated by electrolyzing an electrolytic fluid (14) stored within said electrolytic cell (10A),
wherein said generator further contains a vibration-stirring means (16) for stirring and agitating said electrolytic fluid (14) stored within said electrolytic cell (10A), and the distance between adjacent said first electrode (71a) and said second electrode (71b) adjacently installed within said electrode group (2x, 2y) is set within a range of 1 to 20 millimeters.

The hydrogen-oxygen gas generator according to claim 1, wherein said gas trapping means is comprised of a lid member (10B) installed on said electrolytic cell (10A) and a hydrogen-oxygen gas extraction tube (10B") connected to a hydrogen-oxygen gas extraction outlet (10B') formed on said lid member (10B).
3. The hydrogen-oxygen gas generator according to claim 1, wherein said vibration-stirring means (16) is comprised of a vibration generating means containing a vibrating motor (16d), and a vibrating rod (16e) is linked to the vibration generating

means for vibrating within the electrolytic cell (10A), and a vibrating blade (16f) unable to rotate are installed on at least one level of said vibrating rod ((16e), and the vibrating motor (16d) vibrates at 10 to 200 Hertz.
4. The hydrogen-oxygen gas generator according to claim 3, wherein said vibration generating means is installed with a vibration absorbing material on the upper side of said electrolytic cell (10A).
5. The hydrogen-oxygen gas generator according to claim 3, wherein said vibration generating means is supported by a support table (100) separate from said electrolytic cell(lOA).

The hydrogen-oxygen gas generator according to claim 3, wherein said gas trapping means is comprised of a lid member (10B) installed on said electrolytic cell (10A), and a hydrogen-gas extraction tube (10B") connected to a hydrogen-oxygen gas extraction outlet (10B') formed on said lid member (10B), and said vibrating rod (16e) extends through said lid member (10A), and a sealing means between said lid member (10B) and said vibrating rod (16e) allows vibration of the vibrating rod (16e) and also prevents the passage of hydrogen-oxygen gas.
7. The hydrogen-oxygen gas generator according to claim 1, wherein at least one of either said first electrode (71a) or said second electrode (71b) contains multiple holes.
8. The hydrogen-oxygen gas generator according to claim 1, wherein said power supply (34) is a direct current pulse power supply.

9. The hydrogen-oxygen gas generating method comprising:
providing a hydrogen-oxygen gas generator as claimed in claim 1, charging the electrolytic cell (10A) with the electrolytic fluid of pH7 to 10 containing 5 to 10 percent by weight of electrolytic material; and
performing electrolysis of the electrolytic fluid (14) with use of the hydrogen-oxygen gas generator to reach an electrical current density of 5A/dm2 to 20A/dm2.
10. The hydrogen-oxygen gas generating method according to claim 9, wherein said
electrolysis is performed in said electrolytic cell (10A) sealed by a lid member (10B).
11. The hydrogen-oxygen gas generating method according to claim 9, wherein said electrolytic material is a water-soluble alkali metal hydroxide or an alkaline rare-earth metal hydroxide.
12. The hydrogen-oxygen gas generating method according to claim 9, wherein said power supply (34) is a direct current pulse power supply.
