Title of Invention | "AN IMPROVED PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTING FABRIC" |
---|---|
Abstract | This invention relates to an improved process for preparation of electrically conducting fabric comprising of dipping the said fabric in sodium hydroxide solution, reacting the said fabric of step (a) with hydrochloric acid and then washing again reacting the said fabric with chloride solution, treating the said fabric of step (b) with 0.1 to 0.5% of silver nitrate solution, the reacted said fabric of step (c) is allowed to react with silvering solution for 10 to 35 minutes, wherein silvering solution comprises of 0.1 to 0.7 silver nitrate, 10% sodium potassium tartrate and 5% ammonia. |

An improved process for preparation of electrically conducting fabric comprising of: a) dipping the said fabric in sodium hydroxide solution, b) reacting the said fabric of step (a) with hydrochloric acid and then washing again reacting the said fabric with chloride solution, c) treating the said fabric of step (b) with 0.1 to 0.5% of silver nitrate solution, d) the reacted said fabric of step (c) is allowed to react with silvering solution for 10 to 35 minutes, wherein silvering solution comprises of 0.1 to 0.7 silver nitrate, 10% sodium potassium tartrate and 5% ammonia, 2. A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said chloride solution comprises of stannous chloride, zinc chloride and potassium chloride. 3. A process as claimed in claim 1 wherein said silver nitrate is preferably 0.1 to 0.7 percent, said sodium potassium tartrate is 10 percent and said ammonia is preferably 5 percent in the said silvering solution and the said reaction is allowed preferably for 15 to 30 minutes. 4. A process as claimed in claim 1 wherein said silvering solution is prepared first by the reaction of said sodium potassium tartarate with said silver nitrate and then reacting said ammonia solution with the reacting mixture of said silver nitrate and said sodium potassium tartrate. 5. A process for the preparation of said fabric substantially as herein described. |
