Title of Invention

AN IMPROVED JET NOZZLE REGULATOR FOR USE IN THE GAS CONVERSION DEVICES FOR MOTORBIKE AND OTHER TWO WHEELERS

Abstract The object of this invention 'AN IMPROVED JET NOZZLE REGUALTOR FOR USE IN THE GAS CONVERSION DEVICES FOR MOTOR BIKES AND OTHER TWO WHEELERS' is to insert a regulator nozzle in a gas conversion kit, to ensure ~t only the required amount of LPG is made available in the engine cylinder for optimum fuel air combustion mixture, thereby minimizing the waste of unburned LPG escaping along with the exhaust fumes. The cylindrical jet nozzle can be segregated into three portions, the diameter increasing from top to bottom, except at the tapered top portion, with a cylindrical hole running throughout the body of the nozzle, whose diameter is twice in tt)e bottom portion, as compared to top portion. The top portion carries a plurality number of minute holes, whose axis is perpendicular to that of tt)e nozzle, the diameter of each hole not exceeding one millimeter, through which the gas is discharged.

This invention, 'AN IMPROVED JET NOZZLE REGULATOR FOR USE IN THE GAS CONVERSION DEVICES FOR MOTOR BIKES AND OTHER TWO WHEELERS' pertains to the use of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) in two wheelers, theret}y providing more value to the money for the consumer ox) making two wheelers more eco-friendly.
Use of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) as the source of energy for driving the engine in three wheelers and four wheelers is not uncommon these days. However the same is yet to be introduced in two wheelers. In ^ automobiles using petrol and ctesei, at least a part of the fuel escapes along with the exhaust fumes, unbumed and unused, ^ich pollute the enwxmmait and ther^ eating a lot of health hazards. O^rcoming this has become a major challenge in the Cities of our Country.
The object of this in^^ition is to evolve a gas regulator kit that woukJ restrict tiTe ftow of fuel theretiy facilitating a t^Mcal 100 CC bike under nomal test-driving condition to provk^ a mileage of at le^ 120 kikxneters pex kitogram of LPG. In real terms, this will compare with 1.25 liters of petK^, wtuch going by today's tariff, woukJ cost somewhere between Rs.45/- to Rs.50/-. On die other hwid, price of one kitogram of LPG couk3 be as tow as Rs.25/- to Rs.30/-
The Inventor \)as achieved the ot)jea of inserting a reguJator nozzle in a conventional gas converston mechanism, whkh will ensure that only the required amount of LPG woukl be made available in the engine cytinda* for optimum fuel air combi^tKHi mixture thereby minimizing the waste of unbumed LPG escaping akxigwith the e)^iau^ fwnes.
The figure in the accompanying dramng depkrts the schwnatic view of the jet noz^ regulator, made of brass, alumirnim or like metal, whkdi can wthstand high

Middle Portion of the Jet Nozzle (2) has a shape and configuration, as depicted in the figure.

The top portion of the Jet Nozzle (3) has a smaller diameter, as compared with the bottom portion, with four pairs of minute circular openings (5), not exce^tng 1 mtiiimeter in dianrteter, through which the LPG is let out for mixing with air.
The tapered top portion (4) has a profile, as shown in the figure.
(6) of the enclosed figure represents the hole running continuously throughout the cylindrical jet nozzle. Tlie gas enters from the bottom end and exits through the top end as well as the pairs of hoies (5) provided on the top portion of the jet nozzle. The diameter of this hole is in the ratio of 2:1, the bottom half of the nozzle having a hole with diameter, which is twice that of the hole provided in the top portion of the jet nozzle.

I claim,
1. 'AN IMPROVED JET NOZZLE REGULATOR FOR USE IN THE GAS
CONVERSION DEVICES FOR MOTORBIKES AND OTHER TWO
WHEELERS', wherein a jet nozzle is used for regulating the flow of gas
into the gas converter kJt for obtaining optimum mixture of the gas and
air, which allows only the required Liquid Petroleum Gas for combustion,
thereby minimizing the waste of unturned Liquid Petroleum Gas escaping
alongwitii the exhaust fumes; t^e said jet nozzle comprising of a hollow
cylinder, segregated into three divisions, Bottom (1), Middle (2)
& Top (3), the diameter of the hollow cylinder increasing from
the top to bottom, with the exception of the tapered top portion
(4), a cylindrical hole (6) running throughout the body of the
nozzle, with the hole in the bottom half of the nozzle having a
diameter, which is twice that the diameter of the hole in the top
half.
2. 'AN IMPROVED JET NOZZLE REGULATOR FOR USE IN THE GAS
CONVERSION DEVICES FOR MOTORBIKES AND OTHER TWO
WHEELERS', as claimed in Claim (1), wherein the top portion (3) of the Jet Nozzle has a plurality number of sets of cylindrical minute holes perpendicular to the axis of the nozzle, through which the gas is discharged.
