| Abstract | The present invention relates to pharmaceutical composition for intravitreal injection to the eye for treatment of a disorder of the eye, said composition comprising a) urea or a urea derivative and b) an organic acid in a solution having a pH of from 5.0 to 7.0. In some embodiments, these compositions include additional components such as non-enzymatic proteins, nucleosides, nucleotides and their derivatives, adenine, adenosine, cytosine, cytadine, guanine, guanitadine, guanidine, guanidinium chloride, guanidinium salts, thymidine, thymitadine, uradine, uracil, cysteine, reduced thioctic acid, uric acid, calcium acetyl salicylate, ammonium sulfate and compounds capable of causing non enzymatic dissolution proteoglycans, potassium phosphate dibasic, alcohols, block polymeric polyols and antimetabolite agents. |
