| Abstract | A system for controlling storage of content in memory includes a network entitiy (22), such as a digital broadcast transmitter (31), a digital broadcast receiver (14) or a terminal (12). The network entity (22) includes an expiration control application capable of receiving a status of a at least one piece of content stored in memory of a terminal. Each piece of content is associated with at least one parameter including at least a client expiration time and/or a deletion priority value. Based upon the status and the associated parameter(s), then, the expiration control application can control storage of content in memory of the terminal. |
