Title of Invention

FOGGING MACHINE RUNNING ON KEROSENE AS A FUEL

Abstract The invention relates to a fogging machine running on kerosene as a fuel. Its main feature is combustion of kerosene as a fuel to generate thermal energy. The specially designed kerosene burner is pre heated with the help of specially designed battery operated Electronic Control Unit. The Burner starts through ECU throwing a red hot flame over the heat exchanger coil which utilizes the generated thermal energy by the burner and upon reaching the required temperature the formulated solution is vaporized and is thrown out as fog.

The following Specification describes the invention :-

This invention relates to the use of kerosene as a fuel for the fogging machines. Insects like Mosquitoes, flies etc., are a great health hazard to the mankind as they are carriers of many dreadful epidemics like the Malaria and the recent Chikungunia and dengue . This spurt in epidemics is a cause of great concern as there are not many effective medicines specially for Chikungunia. But prevention is always better than cure and hence mosquitoes have to be evaded before they bite. At domestic level it is prevented by the use mosquito repellents etc., but since these diseases are epidemics they are also of great concern to the government health Dept. and the Muncipal Corporations, Zilla Parishads N.G.O.’s Etc.
Fogging is one of the preventive measures adopted by the health departments of the Central and the State Govt. Fogging operations presently are carried out with the help of Machines which run on petrol and LPG. Which have there own shortcomings. The machines running on petrol requires skillful persons to operate them moreover it also causes noise pollution thus creating occupational hazard for the operator as well and the sound irritates the people in the vicinity. In case of using Fogging machines the LPG cylinder gets exhausted within about 30 min. Once the cylinder gets exhausted there is no facility of refilling it and they have to be replaced with new cylinders. These Cylinders are not available at all the places except in the Metros like Mumbai. In case the stocks of cylinder are over the user is helpless and cannot run the machine at the time of need.
Thus a need was felt to device a machine which uses a fuel which is easily available even in remote areas and which can be operated even by an unskilled person and which also reduces the noise and above all is economical too!
Accordingly the present invention of using kerosene as a fuel is a solution to all the drawbacks associated with fogging with either petrol or with LPG.
The present invention can be described in the following way. The fog generator is a thermal aerosol generator Which is designed for variable fog output. It features combustion of kerosene as a fuel kerosene offers accurate thermal control, precise fog output which can be manually

operated. The operating temperature, pump pressure and nozzle orifice have been specifically set to maximize aerosolisationof formulated fog fluid. The Specially designed kerosene burner is preheated with the help of specially designed battery operated ECU (Electronic Controlled unit) for about 50sec. Then upon sparking- the burner starts through ECU unit throwing red hot flame over the heat exchanger coil .As the heat exchanger coil gets heated to the optimum temperature required to generate the fog, the audio signal produced is an indication to open the valve of the formulation tank and release the solution to pass through the heat extension coil. This phase is reached within 3-5min.and the togging machine is ready to fight the mosquitoes with less noise and less cost and more efficiency.
