Abstract | A solar collector comprising of plurality of heat exchanger with plurality of interconnected metallic fins having contact with metallic pipe/tube provided for water flow wherein metallic pipe/tube being surrounded by the said interconnected fins, an inside insulated outer casing closed with transparent glass on the top; the heat exchanger is transposed into the said inside insulated outer casing ; the top of the outer case is covered with glass supported by retainers. |
Full Text | Background of the invention: The present invention relates to solar collector, by incorporating inter connected fins in a novel manner to get high efficiency and to make a compact system. A metallic tube/pipe is surrounded by the said interconnected fins. The said fins are made of metals conventionally used in the solar collectors. The said tube/pipe is surrounded by the said interconnected fins. The said fins are made in such a way, when interconnected with each other transmits the heat very speedily and become high efficient one . And the present invention is very compact and economical and it can be installed even on flats etc.. The present solar collector available is bigger in size, so it cannot be installed on flats and it is costlier also.. The object of this invention is to improve the efficiency of the existing solar collector. Another object of this invention is to use the solar collector for multipurpose. Another main object of this invention is to provide a very cost effective solar collector. Summary of this invention : The main object of the invention is to provide a high efficient, economic and compact solar collector. According to this invention there is provided a solar collector comprising of plurality of heat exchanger with plurality of interconnected metallic fins having contact with metallic pipe/tube provided for water flow wherein metallic pipe/tube being surrounded by the said interconnected fins, an inside insulated outer casing closed with transparent glass on the top; the heat exchanger is transposed into the said inside insulated outer casing ; the top of the outer case is covered with glass supported by retainers. There is a heat exchanger (Fig -1) which is made of Black Chromium or nicole coated metallic fins (2) which are interlocked(3) with each other , and thereby improve the transmission of heat speedily. Through the said fins stainless steel(l) or alternatively copper tube (1) or any non hazardous metallic tube/pipe is passed.. The said tube/pipe(l) is surrounded by plurality of metallic fins(2) very tightly(3) as shown in fig-1. So the tube/pipes(l) are very much in contact with the metallic fins(2), so that heat transfer is very fast. The fins are made in such a way to keep them interlocked or inter connected with each other ( 3 of Fig-1). This heat exchanger is transposed into an inside insulated (4)outer casing(5) . The top of the said outer casing is closed with transparent glass(7). The said glass(7) is supported by retainers(6). The air in the outer casing is evacuated there by loss of heat due to convention is totally reduced. The casing is very air tight so that vacuum will be maintained inside the casing. When the storage tank of a solar water heater is filled with water and when sun rays fall on the heat exchanger with plurality of solar collectors, the water in the stainless steel or any metallic pipe , surrounded by the interconnected fins of the solar collector gets heated up and enters into the storage tank and the cold water in the storage tank is sucked through a suction pipe and enters into the stainless steel or copper pipe which is surrounded by the said interconnected fins. I claim 1. A solar collector comprising of plurality of heat exchanger with plurality of interconnected metallic fins having contact with metallic pipe/tube provided for water flow wherein metallic pipe/tube being surrounded by the said interconnected fins, an inside insulated outer casing closed with transparent glass on the top; the heat exchanger is transposed into the said inside insulated outer casing ; the top of the outer case is covered with glass supported by retainers. 2. A solar water heater as claimed in claim 1 wherein an inside insulated outer casing closed with transparent glass on the top supported by retainers. 3. A Solar water heater substantially as herein described and illustrated by way of accompanying drawing. |
