This invention relates to a heat conserving gas stove.
An object of this invention is to improve the efficiency of the LPG stove by reducing heat losses.
In the known LPG stove, heat is wasted, as the flame velocity coming out of the burner is high.
Also the burner outer surface is directly exposed to atmosphere. While burning, the burner outer surface attains high temperature resulting in heat loss.
The heat conserving stove, according to his invention, comprises an outer chamber, an inner chamber and an innermost chamber; the top portion of the outer chamber consisting of burner holes and a dish shaped heat collector chamber; a fuel gas inlet pipe located in the innermost chamber, the base of the outer and innermost chambers being provided
with first and second air inlet parts , the first , air inlet part being connected to a forced draft fan through a normally closed spring-loaded valve, the draft from the fan, when operative, actuating the valve to open the first port and close the second port thereby sending in air through the first port into the outer chamber and thence into the heat collector chamber and thereafter into the inner chamber and innermost chamber, to finally emerge as hot air at the burner holes mixed with the fuel gas to undergo ignition, the valve being deactuated, whenever the fan is inoperative, to close the first port and open the second port to allow atmospheric air into the innermost chamber to emerge as hot air at the burner holes mixed with the fuel gas to undergp ignition.

This invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings which illustrate, by way of example, and not by way of limitation, one of possible embodiments of this invention, wherein
Fig. 1 illustrates the embodiment in sectional elevation With the fan operative
Fig. 2 illustrates the embodiment in plan corresponding to the
view in Fig. 1
Fig. 3 illustrates the embodiment with the fan inoperative
And
Fig. 4 illustrates the embodiment in plan corresponding to the
view in Fig. 2.
The embodiment will be seen to have an outer chamber Cl? an inner chamber C2 and an innermost chamber C3. The top portion of the outer chamber Cl consists of burner holes B and a dish shaped heat collector chamber H. The heat collecter H has stiffeners S to retain the chamber H in shape. A fuel gas inlet pipe is located in the innermost chamber C3? the base of the outer and innermost chambers Cl and C3 being provided with first and second air inlet ports PI and P2. The first air inlet port PI is connected to a forced draft fan F through a normally closed spring-loaded valve V, the draft from the fan, when operative, actuating the valve to open the first port PI and close the second part P2 thereby sending in air

through the first port Fl into the outer chamber Cl and thence into the heat collector chamber H and thereafter into the inner chamber C2 and next into the innermost chamber C3 9 to finally emerge as hot air at the burner holes B mixed with the fuel gas to undergo airte ignition.
It will be observed that as ignition takes place at the burner holes the flame impinging on the base of the vessel placed over the burners gets defelected downwardly to the heat collector chamber whence the inner chamber and the innermost chambers also get heated by the air passing therethrough . Consequently it is this hot air mixing with the fuel inlet gas which undergoes auto ignition at the burner holes, resulting in efficient heating with reduced heat loss.
In the event of power failure when the fan F becomes inopeative, the spring loaded ,,-_. valve V is deactuated to close the port Pi and open the port P2 through which ambient air (atmospheric air) enters the innermost chamber, mixes with the fuel gas therein and undergoes auto- ignition at the burner holes. In this case, the hot innermost chamber heats the air. It is this hot air which mixes with the fuel gas to undergo . ignition at the burner holes.
The terms and expressions herein are of description and not of limitation having regard to the fact that this invention is not confined to the embodiment illustrated and described but that various other embodiments of this invention are possible without separating from the scope and ambit of this invention.
