| Abstract | The present invention relates to the improved mehtod for production of insulin in Pichia pastoris using the promoter from the glyceraldhyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase gene for constitutive expression. The use of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase gene in the present invention facilitates tjhe consittutive protein expression and hence avoids the requirement of external inducer like mehanol which is konwn to be hazardous at an industrail lefel due to large volume involved thus rendering the present invention method safe. |
