Title of Invention

"A HYDRAULIC JACK FOR USE WITH THE TRUCK"

Abstract This invention relates to a hydraulic jack for use with the trucks comprising securing plates adapted to be secured with the chassis of the vehicle being provided at both the ends of a connecting rod, a hydraulic cylinder being secured with said securing plates, hydraulic pressure pipes adapted to be connected to a hydraulic oil container being connected to said hydraulic cylinders at the bottom end and top ends thereof such that to supply the hydraulic oil to the bottom portion and to the top portion of said cylinders as and when required for the operation of the hydraulic jack.
Full Text This invention relates to a hydraulic jack for use with the trucks for lifting freely rotatable rear pairs of tyres during unloading condition of the truck.
The trucks having two front/steering wheels and two pairs of two tyres as the rear wheels are well known in the art. However, the loading capacity of these trucks is limited. Therefore to increase the loading capacity of the trucks two pairs having two tyres in each pair are additionally provided in the rear portion of the truck near the driving pairs of rear wheels.
There are certain disadvantages associated with the truck having 10 tyres. One of the main disadvantages is that the 10 tyres truck's turning is very difficult and the movement in the back gear is also difficult.
Another disadvantage is that wear and tear of the tyre is very high.
Yet another disadvantage is that the consumption of diesel is more even during the unloading condition of the trucks.
Still another disadvantage is that during the puncture of the tyres the placement of jack below the tyres is very difficult.
Therefore, the main object of the present invention is to provide a hydraulic jack system for lifting the free pairs of rear wheels during the unloading and/or puncturing of the free pairs of tyres and thus the consumption of the diesel is reduced upto 25% and the wear and tear of the tyres is also avoided.
Another object of this invention is that the driving of the vehicle becomes smooth when the back tyres are lifted up.
Yet another object of this invention is that the turning area of the truck becomes smaller when the back tyres are lifted up
Still another object of this invention is to provide a hydraulic jack for lifting free pairs of back wheels of a ten tyres truck and thus the backward movement of the vehicle becomes smooth during the unloading condition.
According to this invention there is provided a hydraulic jack for use with the trucks comprising securing plates adapted to be secured with the chassis of the vehicle being provided at both the ends of a connecting rod, a hydraulic cylinder being secured with said securing plates, hydraulic pressure pipes adapted to be connected to a hydraulic oil container being connected to said hydraulic cylinders at the bottom end and top ends thereof such that to supply the hydraulic oil to the bottom portion and to the top portion of said cylinders as and when required for the operation of the hydraulic jack.
In accordance with this invention a hydraulic jack has the securing plates mounted at both ends of a connecting rod. A hydraulic cylinder is secured by means of a U clamp at the outer sides of the securing plates. The hydraulic oil pressure pipes are secured at the bottom end and at the top end of each cylinder for the operation of said cylinders for providing movement to the respective piston into the cylinders. A flange plate is provided with each of the securing plate for securing said plates with the chassis of the body. The movement of the pistons inside the hydraulic cylinders lift the rear assembly provided for securing the freely rotatable pair of tyres therewith.
A hydraulic jack for use with the trucks according to a preferred embodiment is herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings wherein
Fig.l shows the assembled view of the hydraulic jack and Fig.2 shows an exploded view of the hydraulic jack.
Referring to the drawings particularly fig. 1 the hydraulic jack has a pair of securing plates 1 mounted at both the ends of a connecting rod 2. A hydraulic piston cylinder means 3 is secured with each plate 1 at one side thereof. Hydraulic oil pressure pipes 4 are provided at the bottom end and top end of the cylinder means 3 for the operation of the said cylinders by supplying oil into bottom end or top end of the cylinders. The input and output ends of the hydraulic oil pressure pipes 4 are connected to a hydraulic oil container (not shown). A U clamp 5 adapted to be secured with the securing plate 1 is provided for securing the cylinder means 3 with the securing plate 1 tightly. A flange plate 6 is provided for securing the securing plate 1 with the chassis of the vehicle by means of preferably nut and bolt
During the operation of the device the hydraulic oil is supplied to the bottom ends of the cylinders and the piston abuts against the suspension means and thus the suspension means alongwith the rear tyres rotatable freely are lifted up during the unloading condition of the vehicle or during the turning of the vehicle or when the tyre is punctured and do not touch the ground. However, when the oil is supplied to the top end of the hydraulic cylinder it displaces the piston in the downward position and the hydraulic oil from the lower portion of the hydraulic cylinders go to the oil container and thus the rear wheels alongwith the suspension means come down to its original position in order to carry the excess load loaded in the truck

I CLAIM;
1. A hydraulic jack for use with the trucks characterized in that securing plates (1) adapted to be secured with the chassis of the vehicle being provided at both the ends of a connecting rod (2), hydraulic cylinders (3) being secured with said securing plates, hydraulic pressure pipes (4) adapted to be connected to a hydraulic oil container being connected to said hydraulic cylinders at the bottom end and top ends thereof such that to supply the hydraulic oil to the bottom portion and to the top portion of said cylinders as and when required for the operation of the hydraulic jack.
2. A hydraulic jack for use with the trucks as claimed in claim 1, wherein said hydraulic cylinders are secured with said securing plates by means of a U clamp (5).
3. A hydraulic jack for use with the trucks as claimed in claim 1, wherein said securing plates are secured with flange plates (6) for securing the plates with the chassis of the vehicle.
4. A hydraulic jack for use with the trucks substantially as herein described and illustrated in the drawings.
