Full Text | FIELD OF INVENTION: The present invention relates to a Product Display Device capable of simultaneous display of brand names and holding products made under that brand name. Additionally, this device is capable of being fixed to any suitable place such as roof, wall, self top, and counter top. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION: Conventionally, products such as razors, blades, dry cells etc. are blistered or fixed on a card and sold to customers. Generally, these products are kept in shelves, or hung on nails or hooks in shops. These products occupy more space and are normally kept with products manufactured by different companies. To over come these disadvantages and amongst others, the applicants for the first time have invented a compact device for simultaneous display of their brand names along with products selling under such names, which can be fixed to a location of the sellers choice or convenience. OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION: The main object of the invention is to provide a device for displaying brand names and products made there under simultaneously. Another object of the invention relates to a Product Display Device which is adopted to be fixed to a convenient place of the seller's choice such as roof, wall or shelf top. One another object of the invention is to provide a Product Display Device which is easy to construct and dismantle. Yet, another object of the invention relates to a Product Display Device which can be constructed as well as dismantled within a most practical and economical time frame. Another object of the invention relates to a Product Display Device which is portable and light weight. Still, another object of the invention relates to a device for holding different products. One more object of the invention is to provide a Product Display Device which is capable of alteration and / or modification as per the product display requirements. Yet, another object of the invention is for a device which is capable of holding large quantity of products in varying sizes. Further object of the invention relates to providing a Product Display Device which is very compact and capable of holding large quantity of same and / or different products. Additional object of the invention is to provide a Product Display Device which can be constructed and dismantled easily by any person. The above objects and others are achieved by providing a Product Display Device comprising a base for fixing the device with any suitable structure, head cards which are capable of displaying trade marks or brand names and for holding products made under such brand names through horizontal product-holding means and long connecting means for connecting the base with the head cards through one or more grippers. The base of the device is adopted for fixing the display device firmly to any structure by conventional methods. In addition, the base comprises one or more holding means for firmly connecting the long connecting means in any required directions. Preferably, the holding means having threaded male bolt-like structure(s) in any suitable direction on which a threaded female part in the long connecting rod can be fixed. The base can be fixed to any structure by conventional methods, for example, nailing, screwing or gluing the base with the structure. The head card has basically two parts. The first being a flat brand display card and at its lower end is located the second part for connecting or gripping horizontal product-holding- means. The flat display card can be of any shape and size to display the brand names on its both sides, however, the preferred shape is rectangular, hexagonal or squarish so as to facilitates display of brand names as well as to hold the products to the optimum capacity. As regards the second part which has either horizontal product-holding means or means for fixing the horizontal product-holding means. The means for fixing the horizontal product-holding means, preferably, comprising a continuous series of cavities to receive one or more pins or clips of the horizontal product-holding means. The horizontal product-holding means can be of any shape and size to hold or grip the products to be displaced or dispensed with. Preferably, the horizontal product-display means can be a horizontal peg, a flat strip having curved tip, U shaped rod having upwardly curved tip, a hook or a thin rod having upwardly curved or bent tip. The horizontal product-holding means, preferably, is a peg means for hanging the products or strips containing products and such peg means are constructed to easily place or hold and to remove the products. The peg means is a flat strip having connecting pins at one end for fixing the peg means with the cavities of the head card and a slightly upwardly bent tip at the other end. The head cards are connected to the connecting means (long connecting rod) by at least one gripper. The gripper has central hole for sliding on the long connecting means such as a long connecting rod and is fixed thereon by glue. Further, said gripper includes ridges at its one or two sides to grip one or more head cards. The preferred embodiments of the products display device are described with reference to the accompanying drawings and these should not be construed to limit the scope of the invention in any manner. In the accompanying drawings : Figure 1 shows a preferred method by which the base is fixed to any suitable structure. Figure 2 describes a preferred manner by which one embodiment of the Product Display Device is assembled. Figure 3 shows the preferred embodiments of the horizontal product-holding means. Figures 4 and 5 show one embodiment of the present device which is meant for fixing on a rooftop or counter side. Figure 6 shows another embodiment of the Product Display Device which is suitable for fixing on the shelf top. Figure 7 shows yet another embodiment of the present Product Display Device capable of being fixed on any wall. Figure 8 shows still another embodiment of the present Product Display Device which can be fixed on a side of any structure. As shown in Figure 1 of the accompanying drawings, the base it placed on any structure on which the device is to be fixed and holes are made in the structure corresponding to the slots present on the base by using poker and hammer. Thereafter, screws are fixed using a screw-driver to firmly screw the base with the structure. The other means / parts of the display device are assembled together as shown in Figure 2 of the accompanying drawings. The grippers are made to glide over the long connecting rod and fixed thereon at a suitable location by glue. Thereafter, the long connecting rod with grippers is screwed to the base. Subsequently, the head card is made to glide through the ridges of the gripper in one or both sides. A locking means is provided at the upper edge of the head card to prevent the head card from sliding out of the ridge. Finally, the horizontal product-holding means are pegged or pinned or clipped with the cavities which are located at the lower end of the head card. Figure 3 shows a few preferred embodiments of the horizontal product-holding means. In Figure 3 (a), the horizontal product-holding means is represented by the peg means having pins at one end for fixing the peg means with the cavities of the head card. Figure 3 (b) shows a U-shaped clip having bent tip and Figure 3(c) shows a hook with two pins which can be fixed with the cavities. Figure 3 (d) shows a long hook and Figure 3 (e) shows a long bent rod for holding the products. One preferred embodiment of the present display device is shown in Figures 4 and 5. As shown in these figures, the long connecting means such as long connecting rod is fixed to the base either at the center or at one side (as shown in the enlarged circled portion). This center rod is fixed with two grippers, and each of said gripper is provided with two head cards by sliding the head cards at the grooves of the grippers. The horizontal product-holding means such as peg means are linked to the cavities through pins so that the products can be hung on the horizontally extending peg means. The above embodiment is well suited to be fixed on a roof or counterside. Another embodiment is shown in Figure 6 of the drawings wherein the long connecting means such as long connecting rod is fixed at one side of the base (as shown in the enlarged part in circle). In this embodiment, two grippers are fixed on the long connecting rod as explained above, however, the head cards are fixed at only one side of the grippers along the longer length opposite to the cavities. Further, a short spine having two grippes one at the upper end and other at the lower end, as constructed by the long connecting rod, is placed and linked to the shorter length of the said cards through the gripper located at the lower end of the short spine. The horizontal product-holding means such as peg means are finally fixed to the cavities located at the lower end of the heads cards at the cavities so that the products can be hung on the horizontally projecting peg means. Yet another embodiment is shown in Figure 7 of the drawings. In this embodiment, the base , long central rod and two grippers are constructed as described in the above embodiment. Two head cards are united with the grippers along the shorter length with cavities located towards. The other shorter ends of the head cords are linked to a short spine having two grippers and two additional head cords which are linked to the grippers of the short spine as shown in Figure 7 of the drawings. Thereafter, the pegs are fixed at the cavities for hanging the products to be sold. One more embodiment of the invention is illustrated in Figure 8 of the drawings. It is apparent from this figure that a first base is fixed to any permanent structure and a first connecting rod is fixed to the center of the base. Two additional long connecting rods each having to grippers are connected to the second base. Four head cards are with horizontal peg / means fixed to the grippers at one side as shown in Figure 8 of the drawings. The Product Display Device can be made in any suitable materials such as metal / plastic and their combinations. Preferably, the base, long connecting means (long connecting rod) and short spine are made of metal and the rest of the parts can be made of any plastic. A few advantages of the present invention : 1. The novel Product Display Device is useful for displaying brand names and products sold under the brand names simultaneously. 2. The Product Display Device is suitable for fixing to any place. 3. The new present device occupies very less space and at the same time every effectively displays the brand names of a company and the products sold under such brand names. 4. This device is easy to assemble and easy to fix to any structure. 5. The device of this invention is portable and light weight but is capable of holding variety of products in large numbers. 6. The present device can be assembled and fixed by even unskilled person with in the most practical and economical time-frame. 7. The present device is capable of alteration and / or modification as per the product display requirements 8. The present device is capable of holding different products of varying sizes We claim 1. A product display device comprising: •A base (1) for fixing the device with any suitable structure having one or more holding means (2) for connecting long connecting means (4) in any required direction; head card means (5) to hold products and to display product information horizontal product holding means (6); connecting means to connect said base with the head cards through one or more grippers (3). 2. A product display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the base has a flat base part for fixing the display device on any supporting structure. 3. A product display device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the base comprising one or more holding means for connecting the long connecting means in any required direction. 4. A product display device means as claimed in claim 3, wherein the holding means being one, two and /or three threaded bolts, one located at the center and two at the lateral sides. 5. A product display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the head card comprising a flat brand display card for displaying brand names, at the lower end of the brand display card is located a series of cavities for connecting one or more horizontal product-holding means. 6. A product display device as claimed in claim 5, wherein the head card is of rectangular, square or hexagonal in shape. 7. A product display device as claimed in claim 5, wherein the horizontal product- holding means include a horizontal peg, a flat strip having curved tip, U shaped rod having upwardly curved tip, a hook or a thin rod having upwardly curved or bent tip or a peg means for hanging the products or strips containing products and such peg means are constructed to easily place, hold and to remove the products. 8. A product display device as claimed in claim 7, wherein the horizontal product- holding means is a U-shaped clip having bent tip, a hook having two pins for fixing the hook with the cavities, a rod having a hooked tip or a thin rod having a bent tip for holding the product. 9. A product display device as claimed in claim 7, wherein the peg means is a flat strip having connecting pins or clips at one end for fixing the peg means with the cavities of the head card and a slightly upwardly bent tip at the other end. 10. A product display device as claimed in claim 1, comprising pins or clips at one end for connecting the peg means with the series of cavities located at the lower end of the head card, and a slightly upwardly bent tip at the other end. 11. A product display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the long connecting means comprising a cavity with threads at one for attaching the connecting means with the threaded bolt of the base. 12. A product display device as claimed in claim 1, comprising one or more short spines for attaching the head cards with the long connecting means. 13. A product display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein at least two grippers are fixed on the long connecting means or short spine and each are such gripper has one or more ridges at one end or both sides to receive the head card. 14. A product display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the long connecting means is a center rod which is fixed to the base either at the center or at one side, the center rod fixed with two grippers and each of the gripper is provided with two cards on its sides, each of said card is provided with at least two horizontally extending peg means. 15. A product display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the long connecting means having two grippers is fixed on one side of the base, a short spine having two grippers holding four head cards two on each of such gripper is attached with the grippers of the long connecting means. 16. A product display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the long connecting means is attached to one side of the base, two grippers are connected to the long connecting means, two head cards are attached to one side of the grippers along the breadth of the head cards, the other breath of the head cards are linked to a pair of head cards along its breath through a short spine having two grippers. 17. A product display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the long connecting means is fixed to the base at its center, the free end of the long connecting means is fixed to a second base means at its center, two additional long connecting means are fixed to the second base means, two head cards having horizontal peg means are fixed to either of additional long connecting means through two grippers. 18. A product display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the base and long connecting means are made of metal and the rest of the parts of the device can be made of synthetic material such as plastic. |
