An illumination device includes a guiding set, a lamp assembly, an orienting linkage and a cover assembly. The guiding set includes a guiding portion and a connecting portion connected to the sewing machine. The lamp assembly includes a lamp cover and a luminous element mounted in the lamp cover. The lamp cover includes a connecting member and a sliding member slidablt connected to the guiding portion. DThe orienting linkage has one end pivotally connected to the connecting member. The cover assembly includes a supporting bracket and a cover body together pivotally connected with the other end of the orienting linkage capable of covering tghe guiding set, the lamp assembly and the supporting bracket. As such, when the cover body is opened or closed, the lamp assembly is movable to change a position and scope of illumination to facilitate an examination of sewing process and maintenance of the sewing machine. |
