| Abstract | AN INTERACTIVE SMALL ARMS TRAINING SIMULATOR The present invention relates to an interactive small arms training simulator comprising a screen; a projection system having a projector and a camera directed at sqaid screen; an instructor console; a plurality of lane units; a master control unit connected to the instructor console; a plurality of dummy weapons connected through the master control unit to the said instructor console, each of said weapons being provided with a laser module; characterized in that, said instructor console comprises a computer connected to said projection system for generating the scenarios that will be projected onto the screen and for capturing the laser points picked up by said camera and sent through the master control unit to the instructor console, said master control unit provided to convert said laser signals into screen co-ordinates to display a cursor of the laser point on the screen for a trainee to aim and squeeze the trigger of the weapon; said system also comprises a compressed air line connected to the weapons to provide simulated recoil while firing |
