| Abstract | New process is to manufacture fuel oils from waste plastics by catalytic degradation at 200-700ºC. The new process eliminates any type of discharge to enviroments. Other, than fuel oil, gaseous products,semi solid and waxes were also obtained. Waste plastics were plyolefinic, polystyrene and crude waste wax etc. Catalyst used were bentonite, sodium zeolite mordenite and transition metal zeolite. Waste plastics with contamination of paper gave blackish fuel oil and carbonacious residue. The lator was made into pellet form which burns when ignited. So it could be used as fuel in the heating equipments in the - industries. To obtain a fuel oil with higher octane number, polyolefin waste was blended with other type of wastes and used. |
