Title of Invention

DRAWFRAME FOR SPINNING MACHINES

Abstract In order to simplify the constructed of the graw frames of spining machines, it is proposed to provide only two carrying members arranged one above the other as carriers both for the stands 1 and for the carrying and loading arms 2. In a preferred embodiment, both the stands 1 and the carrying and loading arms 2 have recesses 8, by means of which, placed one against the other, they can be fastened, preferably clamped, to the two carrying tubes.
Full Text Drawframe for spinning machines
The invention relates to a drawframe for spinning machines, with carrying members, running along the spinning machine, for stands and for carrying and loading arms.
The invention is based on a drawframe, such as is illustrated, for example, in Figure 2 of EP 1 375 708. The machine frame of the respective spinning machine has two parallel-running carrying rods or carrying tubes which are arranged next to one another and onto which the bridge stands of the drawframes are placed. The bridge stands carry the drawframes of both machine sides. Further carrying rods which carry the loading arms are fastened in the stands. The drawframe therefore has four carrying rods or carrying tubes running longitudinally.
The set object of the invention is to simplify the construction of a drawframe of this type. It achieves this object by means of the features mentioned in the characterizing clause of the main claim. The simplification achieved is mainly the restriction to only two carrying members. Further advantages may be gathered from the following description.
Two exemplary embodiments of the invention are illustrated diagrammatically in the figures of the drawing in which:
Figure 1 shows the perspective view of a first embodiment;
Figure 2 shows a second embodiment in the same illustration as in Figure 1.

The figures show stands 1 and carrying and loading arms 2 of a longitudinal portion of the drawframes of the two machine sides. For the sake of clarity, the lower rollers and upper rollers and further customary working members of the drawframes, such as sliver funnels, aprons and their guide members, etc., are not illustrated. The joints, arranged in the region 3, for the upward pivoting of the carrying and loading arms 2 are likewise depicted only in outline.
In the embodiment of Figure 1, two carrying tubes 4 and 5 are provided, which run parallel and one above the other from intermediate pillars to intermediate pillars of the spinning machine. The intermediate pillars are not illustrated, whilst one of the holders 6, such as are seated on the intermediate pillars, is indicated at the remote end of the drawframe portion. The holders 6 have bores with the diameter of the carrying tubes 4 and 5, in which the latter are received.
As can be seen on the end face of the drawframe portion illustrated, the two stands 1 lying in each case opposite one another are provided with recesses 7 which, placed one against the other, surround the carrying tubes 4 and 5. The two stands 1 are pressed against one another, and thereby clamped on the carrying tubes, by holding means, not illustrated, such as screws and threads or nuts.
In a similar way, in the region between two stands 1 arranged at a distance amounting to eight spinning stations, four carrying and loading arms 2 are fastened, in each case on the two carrying tubes 4 and 5, on each of the two sides of the drawframe. The carrying and loading arms 2 also have two recesses 8 which are assigned to the carrying tubes and by means of which they surround the carrying tubes and are clamped on them.

In terms of the front end of the drawframe, the reaction forces of the pressure forces exerted via the carrying and loading arms 2 on the upper rollers of the front drawframe act anti-clockwise. By contrast, the pressure forces exerted by the carrying and loading arms 2 on the lower rollers act clockwise. A substantial benefit of this arrangement is that these two forces are advantageously short-circuited via the two carrying tubes 4 and 5.
In the embodiment of Figure 2, the carrying members for the stands 9 or the carrying and loading arms 10 are designed as two carrying boxes 11 and 12 of essentially square or rectangular cross section. These carrying boxes 11, 12 advantageously consist in each case of two U-profiles 13, 14 which are placed one against the other and which are closed by means of a cover 15 and a bottom 16. At the remote end of the drawframe portion, a holder 17 corresponding functionally to the holder 6 is indicated, such holders being seated on the intermediate pillars and having the carrying boxes 11 and 12 fastened to them.
It goes without saying that the carrying boxes 11 and 12 may also be designed as rolled sheet-metal profiles. The fact that they are of essentially square or rectangular design means that, if appropriate, in their wall regions, they may also have, for example, beads in order to increase their rigidity.
The stands 9 are fastened here essentially to the two side walls of the lower carrying boxes 12, but are also connected to the upper carrying boxes 11. They therefore also make a connection between the two carrying boxes 11 and 12 in the region between the holders 17. Fastening preferably takes place by screwing, if appropriate also by welding. A

prefabricated carrier containing at least the stands is thereby formed, to which the carrying and loading arms 2 can be screwed at the factory or at the assembly location.
The carrying and loading arms 2, different embodiments of which are illustrated on the two sides of the drawframe, are fastened, preferably screwed, to the side walls of the upper carrying boxes 11.
