Title of Invention	A PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF ETHANOL FROM LIGNOCELLULOSIC MATERIAL
Abstract	This invention relates to a process for production of ethanol from lignocellulosic material. The process use carboxylic acid preferably oxalic acid pre-treatment for complete hydrolysis of hemicellulose material to produce high yield of fibrilateabble cellulose pulp having a high unreacted lignin. The process comprises pre-treatment with a mixture of water and oxalic acid at elevated temperature and pressure followed by alkaline treatment and then subsequently followed by enzymatic treatment. In enzymatic treatment Cellulolytic enzymes are used which consist of a catalytic domain, a linking peptide, and a binding domain. The oxalic acid mimics the action of enzymes. The oxalic acid catalyze the less degradation of glucose and xylose from cellulose and hemicellulose are higher for the oxalic acid when tested, as compared to other pretreatments.
