| Full Text | The present invention in general relates to a method of reducing the battery consumption when the mobile is camped for Emergency Service. More particularly the present invention relates to a method of power saving during emergency camping. DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ART When mobile is Emergency camped, it may still do measurements, listening to Paging, reading of the system information for cell selection and reselection etc. The above activities will lead in battery consumption. If mobile is in Emergency for longer duration then all the above activities may lead in more battery consumption and lead in faster battery drain. All these activities can be avoided during Emergency camping and RF of the mobile can be disabled. Mobile can try for Emergency camping only when the user triggers for the emergency call only. When the mobile is camped for the Emergency service, then neighboring cell measurement will be done to find better cell for cell selection and cell reselection. This reselection to better cell will not lead in the recovering from the Emergency Camping but only help in acquiring better cell. When the mobile is in Emergency Camping and is in the border area of 2 to 3 cell then frequent measurements will be triggered to acquire better cell for camping. Similarly when the mobile is in Emergency camping, it will do the measurement for acquiring better cell. This frequent measurement will lead in more battery consumption. The primary objective of the invention in to increase the battery life time by disabling the mobile RF when the mobile in Emergency Camping. It is another object of the invention to reduce the battery consumption of the mobile when the mobile is in Emergency Camping. In the present invention when the mobile is camped for the Emergency service, then trigger for the network search can lead in mobile to camp back on the RPLMN/HPLMN or any available PLMN for normal service. Trigger for the search can be made periodically so that it can try to acquire service faster. By disabling the RF during the Emergency Camping can lead in saving the battery consumption. When the user triggers for the emergency call then the Emergency camping can be triggered for the emergency call. Accordingly the invention explains a method of power saving in a mobile device battery during emergency camping comprising the steps of: disabling the RF during the Emergency Camping ; and triggering the Emergency camping for the emergency call only when a user triggers for the emergency call. The mobile device save power by avoiding the measurement of the neighboring cells, listening to the paging channel and reading of the system information for cell selection and reselection. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The invention is about avoiding the neighboring cell measurement for cell selection and re selection, reading of the system information and listening to the Paging channel etc, when mobile is in Emergency Camping. This is done as during the Emergency Camping only Emergency calls are possible and doing cell selection and reselection will not be helpful in gaining the service. Thus by avoiding all the above procedure during the emergency camping can lead in reduction in the battery consumption and increase in the mobiles battery life. Increasing the battery life by avoiding the neighboring cell measurement, listening to the Paging channel and reading the system information for cell selection and re selection when the mobile is in the Emergency Camping. It will also be obvious to those skilled in the art that other control methods and apparatuses can be derived from the combinations of the various methods and apparatuses of the present invention as taught by the description and the accompanying drawings and these shall also be considered within the scope of the present invention. Further, description of such combinations and variations is therefore omitted above. It should also be noted that the host for storing the applications include but not limited to a microchip, microprocessor, handheld communication device, computer, rendering device or a multi function device. Although the present invention has been fully described in connection with the preferred embodiments thereof with reference to the accompanying drawings, it is to be noted that various changes and modifications are possible and are apparent to those skilled in the art. Such changes and modifications are to be understood as included within the scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claims unless they depart there from. WE CLAIM 1. A method of power saving in a mobile device battery during emergency camping comprising the steps of: (a) disabling the RF during the Emergency Camping ; and (b) triggering the Emergency camping for the emergency call only when a user triggers for the emergency call. 2. A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the mobile device save power by avoiding the measurement of the neighboring cells, listening to the paging channel and reading of the system information for cell selection and reselection . 3.
